Poor Reginald I'm not sure he is going to make it

Not too sure why the doctor who called his wife wasn't a little more blunt really considering his condition.

Gripping stuff, feels really invasive. Poor Reginald. I hope he makes it, lovely man.

There seems to be a problem with his wife. I think she's ill herself..

WOW, that was gripping wasn't it?

Really didn't think Reginald was going to make it, but so happy he did.

I've just watched this for the first time, I just expected it to be a run of the mill hospital documentary. But it was fantastic, very moving and very funny at the same time. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one, I'm just disappointed that I haven't watched it until the series is almost over.

Just finished watching +1, 'Tonight's theme is Fathers and Sons..'
Top draw again this week, not a lot else to say really, it's all in the edit this.
There must be huge amounts of film on the cutting room floor, to get this.
I was 'going' all over the place from about 30 minutes in.

I must have looked away and missed this weeks hopping incident.

I've never watched this before either and I found it gripping too.

I liked the young, dark haired A & E doctor who spoke very movingly about his late Dad and took Ron under his wing. I also LOVED the pony-tailed consultant (because he seemed so sincere and was really gentle with Ron and because he was hunky!).

I was so pleased Ron did OK in the end because he looked SO ill when he was admitted.

Another fantastic episode of this brilliant documentary. It was very moving.

It was a bit unusual this week that it focussed on the one patient mainly, but I didn't mind because I was so taken in by Reginald. What a lovely man. He brought tears to this Scotsmans eyes at the end when he was talking about his father.

Anyone know what the ratings are like for this? I really hope there is another series!

Probably not a good idea to be blunt with someone who is alone and you suspect from the phone conversation is suffering from dementia.
Liable to distress them, possibly to the point they'd leave the house and be wandering the streets unable to make their way to the Hospital.

It's been a ratings success for C4 Around 2.5-3m viewers I think and that's been up against The Apprentice so I think there will definitely be another series.

She's a Student Nurse you can tell by the uniform and you can also see she has an ID badge on from King's College (the uni not the hospital).

No I think the closest we got to a hop this week was
breakdance dude going to see the nurse, his being more
of a skip than a hop

Reg's father was quite the hunk, have to say. Great episode, was sure that Reg wasn't going to make it.

I was fuming for Reg, I really was. How long was he in that bloody bed before his daughter decided to show her face?
I appreciate his wife was ill, but his daughter had no excuses. As someone who nursed her Dad through lung Cancer I spent many hours in A&E over the last 2 months of his life with him, as soon as I got the call that he had been taken in I'd be there (I beat the ambulance once, much to the paramedics amusement!).

I just simply cannot understand a child who knows their parent is in hospital yet chooses to go to an appointment rather than the hospital. Nothing is more important at that time. Nothing.
