Aw, the old lady.
Making me think of my 90 year old granny, who's going to be lucky to see the end of this month.

Sister Jen...yay!

I'm a bit behind, I had to pause to watch my neighbour walking her goat.

Walking her goat - as you do!!! I would have stopped what i was doing to watch that as well. I presume she sees it as a pet?

I swear when the Doc picked up the red phone and said '91 year old, stroke' the nurse's face next to him dropped.

Waiting to what Anne Marie is going to do with the old chap who won't be told.
I'm guessing his return ambulance is going to take many many hours to turn up.

I shall have to watch for their return, her goat has no lights and it's very dark!

It's a lovely goat mind, A Golden Guernsey!

He's funny though.

I reckon a needle in the kneecap must be pretty unbearable.

I think he is just scared - old people like to be in their own home

I'm sure you are right - if only he could suppress the fear and really hear and appreciate what the staff are telling him. He could be in his own home if he let them carry out the unpleasant procedure, but he won't.

He did say something about having a good life, I think he was just scared of dying.

So glad Rose is recovering, she looks so much better! Nice to see she has friends/family too and isn't quite as lonely as portrayed. That would've been heartbreaking if she was.

Could be just the doctors and nurses, but yes family would be nice

She had 5 or 6 cards, if it was doctors and nurses they would have only got her one collective one? Also she had a visitor that wasn't in any uniform, so I reckon she isn't alone, so I'd rather keep that thought .

That was lovely.

I liked the concept of stumpy too. They were a nice couple.

Did we get an update on the old chap with the cyst on his knee - if so, I missed it.

The needle and the painkillers aren't exactly painless.
Had a goodly dose the other week in my finger.
Needle and painkiller going in about 8 times, hurt more than when I crushed the finger and split it open to be honest.

As there wasn't an update.
I can only guess 'slowly slowly catchy monkey' worked on the old chap in the end while they had him on the ward and they got at the cyst.

Anne Marie, ex husband as best friend, that's got to be as rare has hens teeth

I suppose it's the loss of contemporaries, all the older family to share memory's with, she's got their Grandkids, but it's not the same, I suppose.

Anyone know why I can't catch up on the previous episodes? 4OD says no. I've seen the first two but been away and wanted to see what I'd missed!

Last week's episode isn't available on 4OD. It had the theme of gang fights and stabbings and one young man was very poorly. It may be that legal proceedings or a request from relatives has resulted in the episode being removed.

Me too if I ever end up in A&E again lol.

Having a needle in your kneecap is extremely painful. My Aunt has had that done and it sounded horrific. Poor man. I'm glad he agreed to stay in hospital & I'm sure they persuaded him to do it eventually.
