Poor bloke, that must have been agony. Being trapped between barge and bridge must be frightening too.
I always think 'what a wuss' and then I remember how I am when I dislocate my knee... I cant help screaming.... so then I understand how pain can reduce anyone to basics, remove their personality as the pain is your first and only concern.
Lets hope the next people we see today arent in so much pain.

The operations on Great Ormond St were amazing this week, try and catch it if you can!
I thought eating/drinking was forbidden in A&E until you've been seen by a doc...Mind you those two didn't look in any great danger!

I can't wach the GOSH one..I can't bare seeing poorly babies and children..
The staff all seem so nice, if ever I'm in hospital I'd hope for people like this lovely doctor and Jen the sister

I havent been told that. I attended earlier this year with what turned out to be a displaced fracture of the toe.
I guess youre only told not to eat if urgent surgery seems likely?
