They'd been playing up all day with the drinks 'hanging' and not dropping.
Idea is kick/rock it and dislodge them.

Looks like Bernard's back on the hooch then.
Quite brave to let them air this, if that's the case, I wouldn't.
Why did they have to close on the Dad crying, I bleedin went again then.

Bloody hard work in some ways.
You can take the stiff upper lip and not being a nuisance thing too far in some cases.

True but they're made of different strength that generation. She made not a sound and barely a wince when they stuck that mahoosive needle in her knee. That effing hurts!

She'd probably have been on various pain killers by then, if only for the knee itself.
Instead of asking for more, she suffered it, why?
That's what I mean about stiff upper lip and not being a nuisance.
'We want the finest painkillers available to humanity. And we want them here, and we want them now!' should be the order of the day

I don't find needles that bad once they're in, It's when the drugs get pumped in they hurt like buggery.
Multiple jabs of Bleeding anaesthetic hurt worse than the crush injury that started the whole thing off.
Dappy c*** Doctor 'can you feel that'

Hey
I guess we like car crash TV to be sometimes literally about car crashes.

More heartbreaking TV. I can't think of anything else as good as this on at the moment.

Watching that mother and daughter together I thought what a close, tactile relationship they have, but then the daughter made it clear that it was being in hospital that effected it. Same with Bernard and his women – though he does seem to have come up with excuses to get back on the sauce. Still, makes you realise you're often not seeing these people just as they are, but as they are at a point of change in their lives.

The one with Sophie...
When the nurse was doing the chest compressions on that cardiac arrest, I couldn't help but think that it looked like she was acting a part in a gentlemans movie
I thought the same thing....
And with James, and his bandage....going round and round, sure she didn't have to put that much on.

Has Bernard had a few drinks?
Poor guy...all those Women, nagging him...I'd be suicidal..
"There's always someone worst off"

Ruby was nice, and looked well, apart from the swollen knee, but then you hear she's had two Hip replacements and Cancer...she was tough.

And the Biro Attack...

It was....but didn't he say, his mum has a fit, if he has a cold, so I'd hate to think what state she was in, on the phone, when he told her he had a knife wound.

Hey ho I've learned a new word anyway 'catastrophising' It's what Bernard's daughter was doing when she heard he Dad had fallen over and banged his head.

I think it's repeated tonight, might watch it all again.

Aye, we don't know what was going on down the other end of the phone, considering she offers to come and nurse him if he's got a cold.
Hey ho...

Probably to make sure he can't knock his stitches out or something. Although when I had a much minor cut on my leg that kept re-bleeding (even with 10 minutes of pressure done 3 times!!) they put on strips and then the HUGEST gauze (I think that's what it's called?) over my leg. Was sooooooooo painful to remove..

I'm just about emotionally ready for tonight. Cute little girl alert- I may have to have cake and something stiff to drink for that.
