I'm just about emotionally ready for tonight. Cute little girl alert- I may have to have cake and something stiff to drink for that.
Oh yes, I remember that from last week's clip, better have the tissues ready.

I'm already a bit of an emotional wreck - I lost a close friend to cancer at the weekend

I'm really sorry gilly - please accept my condolences. And take care of yourself - it's so hard losing someone you care about.

Thank you everyone, you're all lovely xx

I'm glad we haven't got the cancer episode this week, I don't think I could have watched that one. Although this little girl is going to be upsetting enough

I remember taking my (almost 9) year old to A&E. The sheer emotion didn't hit me until I got home. She wasn't bothered. Seemed to find it all a bit of an adventure. Mind you it was only a deep cut as opposed to burns

Oh wow I didn't know that a burn could cause your heart to stop due to lack of liquids. Is that the same for adults?

No I couldn't leave her but then again I only have the one child and the other two may have seen it and been terrified as well. If she's in for a while she may come in. Depends if they have family local who can help

Don't think I could either Once my ex best friend had to stay home to look after her youngest 2 as her husband had to go A&E with their eldest who'd trapped her finger in a door at school & basically ripped the whole nail (or something along those lines)

Slightly OT but my daughter is due to have a baby and has named me as her birth partner...I hope I will cope! ( I should be worried about her really shouldn't I!) I can't bare seeing them in pain.

i would imagine so - perhaps its depends on the severity of the burn?

I think the basic mechanics will be the same, so yes fluid loss through burns can be very serious at any age.
