Oh well, John's on the mend, didn't know he was still racing bikes at 77.
No word on Eddie with the heart problems, his SIL looked like he was going to have 'moment' when he found out about Eddie's heart problems and previous incidents falling in the bath, etc.
Patrick was unlucky then, he got 2 crutches in the end

Liked Amanda's little piece to camera, the Doctor's relieved giggle when Eddie woke up, the gathering of John's clan, lots of nice snippets as usual.

Right I've decided, Claire mon-friday, Amanda at the weekends.

That young couple are obnoxious, and between them they're still a braincell short of a pair.
They made my blood boil .Pain and suffering and kind people all round them and all they can do is be disrespectful. Having said that I do wonder if they were even capable of a lucid thought between them .

Did anyone else think the woman treating the 92 year old was really patronising?
It can come across like that and also a lot of fussing, but to others it will be seen as caring and showing an interest. After my op (at King's College Hospital), I asked if I could leave the next day because the nurses fussing about every 15 minutes meant I hardly slept after my operation and I just wanted to go home and rest on my own. I am young and independent type. I can see how it can be a comfort to someone old and needy.

What you have to keep in mind is that very often someone at the age of 92 will be confused and/or not able to hear very well. Its important that the staff are able to communicate with very elderly people in a way that doesn't confuse them or in a way that leaves them unable to understand what is happening to them.

Another brilliant episode.

Spliff couple were vile. I liked the fierce little old lady sitting next to them.

So sad about Eileen. I know she was 92 but my eyes still got a bit misty when I read that she had died.

Looking at next weeks clips, I know she was messing around and being idiotic, but did anyone else find themselves laughing at that girl who was dressing herself up in the hospital gear?

I thought she was great with her and had an excellent bedside manner.

They were very disrepectful. Sitting there slobbering all over each other, effing and blinding, talking about EXTRMELY inapporopriate things, all with a little old lady sitting next to them.
The same little old lady who was laughing her head off at the bloke who came in shouting **** off you mother****ers or something similiar lol

The young couple she were sat next showed a complete lack of respect, leaning back against the old dear. A sign of the times unfortunately.

As someone posted earlier, I too wish this program was on for longer, such a good program.

Although I liked her as a person and for the
works she does I just couldn't stand her voice
Sorry if that appears a bit harsh. Will be so
disappointed when this series ends

The young couple weren't leaning against her, at most the chap brushed her arm as he moved about.
She wasn't exactly polite herself, the way she warned the girl off.
The girl wasn't aggressive or anything when she said 'pardon' to the Old lady either.

Obviously it felt overbearing or 'in her space' with the girl sat on the chaps lap.
Then again lots of people seem to get into my personal space, especially in Supermarket queues, they feel comfortable being that close, I don't.

He probable still has little pieces of them in there, and if he wanted to get back to work then how is removing stitches (and reducing the possibility of healing) going to help? Couldn't he have continued work with the bandage on?

Oh definitely! The wonderful irony of the one dressed as an Indian going on about how her mother was a Doctor and that she abhorred time wasters in A&E.

That cut didn't need gluing! I've had paper cuts bigger than the thing she was moaning about. Ridiculous!

As for Jen, she's wonderful! I have a soft spot for her, even more so after last nights revelation she was a dancing medic in the rave scene!

Yes Didn't help I was eating at the time, watching this man having his gash probed and played with with a mouth full of food.

And I agree with the above posts, those girls were annoying. Little respect for hospital staff to think they had any priority with such minor injuries.

Does anyone know if there's anywhere online to watch the first four episodes? I've just started watching this and I really want to see them now!

I loved how the nurse very carefully expressed her disappointment in mankind (i.e those stuckup uni girls)...wonder if they cottoned on when they watched it?

I doubt it. They'd be all tweeting each other with "OMG, like how wasted was I?" "Oh, your hair looks like totally awesome and everything"

He was pretty blasé and cool about it wasn't he? Didn't make a fuss unlike those silly young girls, and he did look a little bit like Robert DeNiro ,the father and son who were attacked at the party,I wonder if they knew their attackers? no-one caught, arrested and charged despite it happening in front of a load of partygoers

This didn't happen in a sodding village, it happened in London, big place with lots of people in it.
Try watching BBC 2's Eyewitness doc next time it's on.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s6b06
You'll see how useless Eyewitness testimony is.

People caught on CCTV aren't all banged up either, what do you make of that.

As far as I can tell, Jen didn't have anything to do with the party girls, so I don't know how you've come to the conclusion she was talking about them.
