Edna's a professional - she's smooth, doesn't take any crap, gets the job done.

Her presentation skills were actually excellent - the content and approach weren't at all appropriate to the audience, and there were some key points missing, but the presentation itself was very good - that style would be perfect for an investor event, but not for this.

Don't get me wrong, she was bloody lucky to get the win, I wouldn't want to work with her, and she's totally inflexible, but I'd want her on my team.

I don't think she does either. But that doesn't stop people wishing this was the case.

People keep making nasty comments about her facial structure, um, I mean facial expressions and saying she has an attitude, even though that is just... how her face is.

If you look at her profile picture, she has the same straight-face and lower cut eyes she has in the show. I guess she didn't like the look of the photographer and was giving them the "ghetto stare-down" too, huh?

Sad in this day and age, people can have such a blind, ignorant hate for an individual just because they don't like the look of them.
Personally I don't understand your point. There is nothing 'different' or unusual about her face. She was giving bitchy looks but the main reason I don't like her is because of her selfish attitude and subtle put downs, ie: 'I've looked at all your individual skills and decided the person right for this is......me!' ouch.

It was Felicity's idea for the app and she did the market research. What exactly did Edna do except a really poor speech?!

Everything has been telling me not to like Edna, but I have to say her pitch was great. Well done Edna.

I see no redeeming qualities in Edna at all I'm afraid.

I think she is unbelievably rude and has an over-inflated opinion of her own importance.
I concur.

Unbelievable arrogance wasn't it!! I thought I was watching a spoof Apprentice for a moment there.

I'm sure I heard her say 'I've looked at all your strengths and limitations' in the actual show, but in your fired I only heard 'your strengths'.

Are people on this board on blow or something? She's awful, that pitch was dreadful and she's a terrible PM who lucked out big time.

You call it as you see it but I think terrible is way too strong. Terrible was Edward last week. Terrible was Susan's app pitch.

Isn't it telling that the only evidence of Edna's terrible Pming was a poor pitch and a slap down to an idea that had broke down? And strike me if I wrong, but didn't this terrible PM split the team into a focus group - as her first decision - (something the boys didn't do) and wasn't it the said focus group who came up with the idea for the app?

She was lucky(ish) but nowhere near terrible IMHO.
ok pants......the biggest thing she has against her is the fact that she is a horrible person...

Wouldn't someone with an extraordinary ego have thrown a strop or hissy fit say like, oh I dunno... Susan?
The extraordinary ego was displayed when she said she'd evaluated everybody's qualities and decided "the person to do the presentation is ....... me." Then there was her reaction to their reaction to the awful pitch. She just stood their grinning unable to accept she had made a complete fool of herself. Her ego is impervious to reality.

Edna was far too forceful about it shutting Susan up. This "I'm the PM and you must do as I say" that many candidates adopt is not good business practice. I've been a PM many times and you have to earn the respect of your team. Just ordering them about is useless. She did this in front of the App designers which looked awful.

Susan was rambling and floundering, but she might actually have had a good idea, we'll never know. If Edna had asked her to think more about her idea she might have realised it was rubbish and kept quiet.

Not sure about that. I've got a feeling she might turn out to be a boardroom star. She's got a very strong character.

On the first task she would have been responsible for any loss because she prevented spending the money. On the second task it would have been because she was a bad PM. But who knows, she might play a blinder in her first loss and not be at fault.

I think she's hilarious "I've looked at all your strengths and weaknesses, so I've decided that I'm going to do the pitch" then she goes and does a crap pitch

I think she has potential, but she'll have to work on her people skills in future weeks as the team seemed to turn against her a bit in the boardroom when they said they weren't overly keen on the app and I think that's because they were too afraid to approach her about it earlier. You need your team on side and as a project manager, you need to be easily approachable. You want your team mates to be honest with you and not be afraid of sharing their ideas. But I can see the team going against her in future weeks and she'll end up alienating herself.

That wasn't luck, though. She understood the brief when the boy's didn't. She got a few things wrong, but she also got a lot right.

Ironically, one of the things she got wrong was the presentation. She assigned it to herself because she thought it was important, but it wasn't.

Yes indeed, making their own intolerance and attitude problems other people's fault by dismissing those others as 'fools'.

Edna could have simply asked Susan to get to the point and if she couldn't within a couple of minutes, say "I'm sorry I'm going to have to move on".
Susan was already given the chance to reiterate her point. In this instance Edna was right to shut her down and I don't think she did it in an inpolite way, she was just firm about it. In my opinion Susan shouldn't have got in a huff about it; she said she doesn't want to be treated like a kid yet she acted like one.

Hilarious David Brent style way she had of announcing it (I've looked at all your skillsets and decided that the person to do the presentaton will be me) and the presentation itself conitnued in a vein Brent would have been proud of.

If her skills are so "excellent" then surely she would have adapted her style/script appropiately? Hardly rocket science.

The girls after the "Well that was a distaster" line were like "" but Edna's all "" she must've been really confident about this task.
