I don't know if Lord Sugar is putting the 250 K out of his own pocket but if he is no way would he want her as a business partner

Whether Lord Sugar wants Edna as a business partner remains to be seen. What other reason would he have chosen her for as part of this year's line-up?

The producers pick a mix of characters for ratings and contenders for credibility. The thought that Alan Sugar is looking to go into business with someone is about as believeable as Simon Cowell is serious about finding and nurturing music talent on the XF. The prize is just a gimmick and I have a feeling the only reason it changed to a "business venture" is because Alan got sick of having to come up with positions worth £100k.

I doubt he'll have to stump up the prize money and there'll be a lot of fine print. One bonus the Apprentice has over the XF, is that while we all know if an XF act fails or succeeds, once the show is over, we don't hear much from the Apprentices again. It would be interesting if they did a "how long did they last at Sugar Empire and where are they now?" type documentary. I doubt we'll get one anytime soon, as it would destroy the illusion of the show.

Edna's a professional - she's smooth, doesn't take any crap, gets the job done.

Her presentation skills were actually excellent - the content and approach weren't at all appropriate to the audience, and there were some key points missing, but the presentation itself was very good - that style would be perfect for an investor event, but not for this.

Don't get me wrong, she was bloody lucky to get the win, I wouldn't want to work with her, and she's totally inflexible, but I'd want her on my team.
I really don't agree that the pitch or her presentation skills were excellent. Nothing to do with her look, in fact the only things I liked were the gloves. In both episodes, Edna has come across as blagging, talking nonsensical corporate speak, full of cliches and really not much action. Further to that, having spent the whole of the first task telling Susan (in particular) not to spend any money and that she was in charge of the cash, she then nodded smugly when Suralan pointed this up as a mistake! Anyone who just saw the boardroom would have her down as the one who'd advised all along to spend it, make it, sell it!

And don't even start me on Melody!
