I thought he was fantastic. He's been very competent in all areas of both tasks, and was completely justified in his defense of his performance. Made his point validly and the manipulation was masterful. Great contestant.

Keyser Soze Jim as Dara said, manipulated the situation to suit him, doesnt make him a bad person though

Lord Suralun:

"First prize is working with me. Second prize - don't exist"

Jedi Jim would have walked the boardroom - but being in the final 3 too often can be fatal so avoiding it in the first place was a shrewd move - especially as his points were valid.

No, otherwise that person might get a heavy beating (a joke? perhaps).

The teams will be mixed soon, so I wonder how the reaction will be if he does this towards one of the girls (especially tiny Susan).

But, it seems like Jim is popular enough here to get away with it

He was perfectly reasonable and I've met him in real life, he's a great guy, very nice and friendly.

IF you are popular enough within the group, you are less likely to be taken to the board room. Maybe that is what they mean?

Jim was brilliant in the boardroom

Hes been okay, but he is a tad over-rated I think, but I never seem to like the ones everyone else loves.

Same last year I thought stella was boring and Creative enough but everyone on here loved her

There has been a similar situation in the past (in the last series or the one before), but nobody began any appreciation threads for that candidate

As I said, it seems like Jim is the candidate to beat in the view of the larger part of the audience (someone who can get away with murder, no not actual murder duh!, but gets applauded instead of booed for it).

The Badger was a great example of this.

Leon = weak

Jim = strong

Edna = lucky

Melody = lucky + hot

I like Jim - I think he was awesome in the boardroom - he had a good point with what he said too. I don't think I can remember that happening in quite that way on TA before though - was actually quite funny.

Liking Edna even less now - seems to glare at people rather a lot. Also got to love when she said she'd looked at their strengths and weaknesses and has decided that she's going to do the pitch.

Are those translations of their names from Hebrew or something

Completely disagree. The guy is straight up and says it like it is . He is pretty formidable in the boardroom and in the tasks.
The big decision will come when he is PM.

I really liked Jim in week 1 and was really liking him tonight until they got until the boardroom. I think we saw a bit of a different side to him, I really did not like the way he twisted and forced Leon into changing his decision. I personally think once the PM has named the two people, that should be that, final. No changing.

But still on a whole, I still do like him a lot and it is still early days.

He's just playing the game and exploiting others weaknesses. Jim knows Leon is weak and easily led and brilliantly exploited that. He's playing the game perfectly but now other candidates have seen what he's like so he may have competition in the future weeks.

Yes, she was definitely very domineering and showing contempt for the others. And you're right - those sideways glares of hers are unnerving. They make her look spiteful.

He could sense that he was going to be blamed for the task, so listed the reasons for other people to be blamed. As others have said, you can't just expect him to bend over and take it.

And it's not like he's an evil manipulative mastermind either: Leon was just completely spineless with his decisions and really didn't think through his choices for who he was bringing back to the boardroom. Jim simply presented him with better reasons to choose weaker candidates. And they were valid reasons.

I thought Jim handled himself brilliantly in the boardroom. They will all think twice now before making him a scapegoat.

Lol he didn't force Leon into anything! How could he? Jim said his piece (which he was entitled to do) and Leon was just so indecisive and weak that he just changed his mind! I think it was genius on Jims part - he is obviously going to fight.
I think it shows Jim is a good businessman and one to watch because he's not gonna stand for something that isn't right.
I actually thought it was something sir Allan would have done.

It happened in Week 2 of last year. Laura selected Sandeesh and Joanna, Sandeesh squawked at her, then Laura changed her mind as a result to Joy. Then the Boardroom collapsed into chaos. It was basically EXACTLY the same as this year.

The closest I remember is Sandhurst Ben naming James but changing his mind and bringing Debra back after Surallen pretty much told him it was a stupid decision.

I know Jim personally, great guy with a great business mind and I think he'll go far in this series. Big contender. Great boardroom performance and stood up for himself, rightly so too! Proud of our man!
