Peter Answers is just a really poor version of the Magic 8Ball - an American toy from the 1960s which you can also play online.

Susan's idea wasn't even as practical as that.

it was basically two people sitting together in a restaurant, texting each other to find out if the other one is actaully there or not.

"Are you there?"

"I'm here, are you there?"

"Yes, I'm here. Where are you?"

Bummer of the season, as far as ideas go.

Susan complains that people (Edna) won't let her speak.

Yet when she does speak she completely embarrasses herself.

One would hope that she has found a more succint way to put it across but I fear that she still may not be able to describe it to anyone, even in her own head!

Come on guys, give her a break, she's lovely. Clearly not brilliant at articulating herself but she definitely outshined the other candidates in terms of business acumen in the first task.

I think she's super smart, but just lacks confidence when she speaks.

She proved pretty good at selling on the first task, though in fairness her looks are a good asset there. I'd buy stuff from her if I met her out selling as long as it wasn't too expensive, whereas with one of the men I wouldn't.

When Susan finally managed to explain her app idea after all the gibberish that came before she was pretty much describing google lol.

I hope she manages to build a bit more confidence. She's refreshingly unegotistical, unlike the others, and at 21 she does seem very business minded. Let's see how she performs tonight.

Agree - her audition video was refreshingly bereft of the usual self-aggrandising bullsh*t.

However I kinda fear down the road she may get ganged up on like Sara in series 4, and this time there won't be a Raef around to valiantly step in and stem the vile haranguing.

Her idea, from what I understood, actually sounded pretty good. Although it's obviously been done already.

What I got from it was that the "App" would use some form of GPS to track the users current location, or the current location of the ipod/phone in question. Which could be used to prevent crime (stealing of phones) but also if you are lost.

If you are lost, how are you supposed to find your current location? We've all had a moment when looking on a map to find where something is and not having any idea where you currently are/how to go get there. Here app would allow you to easily find out where you are which would then make the next step easier. ^^

That, plus lots of editing, appeared to have been that "segment"...

Glad Susan demostrated this evening that, in Nick's words, she is "quite a little force to be reckoned with"

I don't think she did know what her idea was. It wasn't the petersanswers thing. How would that be an app? Doesn't work. She was on a stream on consiousness and it never came together in her mind.

Gavin was also a disaster; luckily for Susan, a slightly bigger one. He only got 6 of 10 items! That's bad however you look at it. Since Susan beat him by less than 1%, her team also performed really badly; they were virtually the same. She didn't lose, but would have done if Gavin's team had been only slightly better.

It's pretty clear Susan's team went to locations that were too expensive and therefore paid too much. And that is something which I think a team leader has at least some responsibility for.

And had she been luckier with her choice of tea supplier she would have beaten the other team by a country mile.


Except that we saw and heard her specifically tell the team to try for more Easterly suppliers.

They ignored this but they did it during a part of the task where they were operating individually and it would have been absurd micro management had Susan been standing over them questioning the location of suppliers they were trying.

Typically with this programme we didn't get to the bottom of that but I'm inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt and hold the others responsible for disobeying her very sensible instructions.

It wasn't luck. It was obviously an expensive shop.


She should have monitored her team a bit more closely. Getting status reports isn't the same as micro-managing.

Of course the team members are also responsible. And if they hadn't got it wrong, Susan's lack of control wouldn't have mattered. She also got a lot right, so I don't think she'd have been fired had the other team done better. However, she took her eye off the ball on something that happened to be crucial.

If you're you and I'm me and we don't know where we are, so I say, "yeah" and look on my phone and it tells me where we are.

Ultimately, the best people to judge Susan's PM ability were those who worked in her team and when Sir Alan asked them if she was any good it was a unanimous "yes"
