As soon as they settled on their ideas, I thought the girls would win and was surprised that the edit showed them doing so badly.
When the chaps went with words, they restricted themselves to the English speaking market, and when they went with funny regional accents, they limited themselves to the UK and ex pat market.
The girls used noises and instantly still had the entire world market available.
It's basic strategem. If you have a market place of over a billion people and you produce a product that is only going to make any sense to aprox 60 million (being generous), while your opposition has a product applicable to the full market place, your going to lose. It's all a numbers game!!
...I was actually surprised that the girls winning margin was only aprox 7000!!!
