So I guess they are never going to fix the timeslip subtitle bug?

All well and good being on a website for people to download, how much longer are we going to have to wait until this is available OTA?

At a guess about 2wks to a month depending on the dtg.

http://www.dtg.org.uk/industry/download_schedule.php

As you can see the older versions for the HD and HDR are currently OTA so i imagine the two new ones will simply replace these

Updated mine to 1.00.15 but the loader is still U7.52

Is this a problem?

Great, theyve actually made it worse.

- Channel scan for channels added/removed/changed at 3am

Now we will have to wait a day to get any channels as a manual scan adds back all the previously deleted channels.

No- unless you use the hdr with a diseqc switch for multi satellite reception.

Keep up, that's been there in the beta version for a while now...

Indeed Humax can't win on this one.

They respond to user requests to make the update provision invisible like on Sky and other freesat kit and from posters complaining the update message and default time out interferes with scheduled recordings. What happens, some complain they prefer the original approach

Sorry for asking this, I might have missed the same question on another thread.... I have looked....

I have recently installed the beta 1.00.15. Is there anything new or different in this official release, and should I therefore install it over the beta?

Thank you for any replies.

I've just downloaded this and compared it with the beta I installed on 19th March - both files identical, so no need to do anything.

Yep Raydon has compared the two byte by byte (posted on AV forums) and confirmed the two releases are identical.

Despite doubters those of us who installed the beta have confirmed it's stability.

You have to do the update twice, rename the file "FOXSAT-HDR_upgrade_U7_54.hdf" to "FOXSAT-HDR_upgrade.hdf" and 7.52 will update to 7.54.

I'm sure others on here already knew this but I figured it out myself...

And to be honest never had a problem with my 4 way Diseqc switch using 7,52 anyway..

If you were upgrading from 7.53 it will make zero difference

Not sure why you bothered if on 7.53 7.54 is entirely down to internal factory testing procedures.

Reinstalled the retail version, before I read Graham's post about them being the same. I would have thought they may have at least tweaked the beta a little bit. I would have liked the option for a manual scan or an automatic scan of channels. I also would have like the pressing the guide button and being able to record a program straight away, you still get waiting for broadcast. Though pressing schedule and the red button gets round this.

Humax are very cautious about untested firmware mods.If they had changed the beta in anyway they would first have released it privately to a limited number of pre beta testers, next as a new beta when they were pretty sure that it was stable. Lastly as a public release. You can be pretty certain once released as a beta it will be safe to use.

Simply look at the date the file was written to understand how long it's been tested in the wild.

As the prime driver for this firmware was to support ITV Player when can we expect that to be launched?

BBC iPlayer doesn't seem to be working anymore for me. I'm on 1.00.13 U 7.52. The update date is reporting to be 13Jan2010 though I haven't done anything personally with downloading files onto USB sticks and so-on.

All I get when I select iPlayer from a BBC channel is a black screen...

Hmm - from the iPlayer channel I get a welcome screen with 'Press Red' but then nothing more than a black screen again.

Works fine for me - perhaps it's a network problem?

maybe - I'll see if I can do some further diagnostics. My internet is working fine and that's through the same router...
