As thread title really. This piece of crap handset has just deleted a whole conversation I didn't want to delete, yet the message I was trying to get rid of is still at the top of the message list. Do any of you clever people know if there's a way to get back deleted items/messages?

I always had Windows Mobile before, and that had a deleted items folder which meant you could retrieve things if necessary (I believe iPhone has this capacity also).

Am so miffed off right now stupid Android

I hate answering my own thread, but I've just discovered (from my super-geeky sibling) that the only way to retrieve deleted messages is to "send it to some CSI Miami-type place". Sod that, I'll just put it on eBay and get a decent phone. That isn't Android.

I sometimes wish I'd never let him talk me away from Windows Mobile

this is a known bug in android. i don't have any stats but it seems to happen 2 or 3 times a year.

the only solution, or workaround really is to set your phone to regularly backup your sms. maybe every night.

Thanks for replying flagpole. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, but it's not been anything/anyone important before. I can't believe they don't have an integrated deleted items folder. Thanks for the tip about backing up. Will try that till I sell it
