Having followed the link Marillion fan posted on here some time ago, I requested a free sampler CD from the Marillion website, which turned up this morning. It's not bad at all, though the first track (The Damage) sounds like The Stereophonics trying to do a Radiohead song. Which isn't a good thing in my books. Luckily the rest of the CD is better. I particularly like This is the 21st Century and Out of this World. Marillion fan, is This is the 21st Century representative of Anoraknophobia?

Yes, I guess, but it's difficult saying what is 'representative' of Marillion as they do mix it up a lot .

If you like those two songs, then the two albums they come off should be on your shopping list..'Anoraknaphobia' has an absolutelclassic song on it called 'When I Meet God' which I'm sure you'll like if you like '21st Century'...'Out Of This World' comes from an earlier album called 'Afraid Of Sunlight', and it's my joint favourite Marillion album. That song is about Donald Campbell and Bluebird (If you don't know what I'm on about, Google it!!).

I think you'll find 'Anroaknaphobia' quite cheap in chains like Music Zone

I received mine yesterday morning also. The last time I listened to Marillion was when I bought Holiday in Eden. They have quite chnaged their music style and I quite enjoyed the sampler CD that I got.

You only pay the £2 if you are a member of the fan club otherwise it is free.

Yes, they brought the charge in because people who were existing fans were ordering them just to keep their collections complete. To get around this, they check the address against their database, and if you're on there, they ask you for two pounds, which to my mind is fair enough.
