I do love a Scottish accent.

Can I be a student again?!

Strathclyde ftw!

That does look like a really nice place but if I went to Strathclyde then I'd have to stay at home since it's so near.

Suppose...

Can't really recommend anywhere else, didn't attend any other open days besides Strathclyde and Glasgow...

Oh it's terrible, I can't wait to go to Uni and actually be able to tell people yeah I'm gay without worrying about the reaction.”

It really is awful when it gets like that. There's this guy I really like, and I just can't do anything around him. He keeps hugging me as well. It's so lovely.

Thanks to somebody at my school, everybody knows I'm gay, and they know not to react badly to it. I nearly got expelled from school for punching this guy that made fun of me. Not a good day that was.

Everybody seems to love the Scottish accent from what I've heard. Don't hear the appeal myself.

I really like the look of it as well, and the hottest guy I have ever met is going there, but I really can't stay at home any longer. I'm going to go to as many open days as possible though just to see what's going on at these places. Extra days off school. Is the maths course at Strathclyde any good?

It's not that I hate my family or anything but the whole appeal of student life has really got me and I don't think I could fully enjoy it if I stayed at home if you know what I mean ? I'll definitely be applying to Glasgow and Strathclyde but I do hope that I don't have to pick them

Can't say I'm too fussed over the Scottish accent either. I generalise and tend to think of neds though when I think of Scottish accent

Its alrite I suppose. Depends what area of maths your strong point is Lots of integration and differentiation  Would definitely suggest taking Adv Higher, I didn't :-/ If you want more specific details, ask away I was very vague

I didn't realise Cumbernauld was in Central Scotland I've always assumed it was on the South East. I guess mainly due to Cumbria being across the border

I couldn't wait to move away aswell

And yes, I get what you mean. Most of my friends live at home (just outside of the city) so they have to leave early some nights just to get transport! That or expensive taxis!

I'm the same with the accent, my mind always drifts to the neds in Still Game for some reason.

I'm taking Adv Higher, my maths teacher basically forced me to. The only thing I really have problems with is the chain rule in integration. As long as there's not much of that, I'll be fine.

Easy mistake to make, there's probably some story behind why it's called Cumbernauld, never really cared enough to find out though.

I don't like all Scottish accents, there's a really thick Glaswegian one I'm not so fond of.

I suppose for you, you hear it most of the time, so it's not..exotic to you.

There's this Aberdeen guy who comes into my work sometimes, and I'm just like noo don't leave talk to me, and he laughs about it.

In retrospect I probably should have taken it but I don't think I'd enjoy it much. In our year it was taught with all three units simultaneously running throughout the year each by different teachers.

Eeshk, that sounds quite bad. I've looked at some stuff in textbooks, I think I'm going to be driven insane by it next year.

Oops, forgot to mention in the last post. There's some integration by substitution and a bit of differentiation by the chain rule. Its not too bad though. I find other techniques harder

Differentiation by the chain rule isn't that much of a problem for me, there's something about dividing with integration that just makes me confused. I suppose there's more from the Adv Higher in the uni course than there is from Higher.

Does anybody actually like their voice? It's like a universal thing that everybody doesn't like their voice.
