So I'm the only one who like the winning song then..

It wasn't the worst song performed that did well (that would be Greece and Italy ), but it didn't really stand out or anything really to make it memorable either. I was expecting the winner to be more memorable or catchy like some of the recent previous winners such as Fairytale. I can still remember how that goes now, even though I wasn't really a fan of it

Soon as it came on, I went to my mum, I think this will win. Of course I was watching like 2 hours behind everyone else, hence me not being on-line .

Not a huge fan of Azerbaijan's song. Bit run of the mill.

I did like Italy's song. That and Spain, I thought that would have got much higher.

I don't think we did too bad in all honesty. The voting was mostly fair, that was evident by Italy, Sweden and Denmark being so hight.

B&H only go where they did through the Eastern Bloc buddy system.

To be fair, they were one of the favourites anyway, they got shitted on in the order...but it was a good song!

fuatocorrect is bloody brilliant! Major distraction though God knows what the UK were on tonight to give Italy ANY points, let alone what Europe have been thinking!! Sounds like it was a good evening for you then.....post-eurovision that is ”

I'm alright, sick of a lot of things and a lot of people, but the sooner I leave school (offically start study leave on the 27th of May) the better! How're you guys?

Ironic that next year Eurovision is going to be held in a homophobic nation.

Did anyone check out Eric Sade from Sweden? Definitely the fittest contender.

The edge...the edge... the edge...the edge...the edge...the edge...I'M ON THE EDGE OF GLORY!

****ing love lady gaga's new song. It's amazing. That and Judas. So getting her new album.

God went out last night, got completely twatted, apparently I got naked and was rolling and crawling around on the grass outside Sounds about right, was a good night Though having to do a 12 hour shift today with two hours sleep wasn't fun

lol my use of 'recent' in terms of winners was probably a stretch I meant to include that when I said about being catchy etc I was also meaning like the top couple of songs in the past couple years are usually catchy, not just the winner Where as this year, for me they didn't seem to be that catchy.

If you look at past couple years, it seems there were more catchy/memorable type songs that were performed whether they won or not. 2007 there was Verka who managed 2nd (who Beth posted above), 2008 we had Dima winning (though I may just remember that for the random staging and having an ice skater on the little platform skating around Dima ), 2009 Fairytale, I also remember Yohanna (Iceland), Jade etc from that year, then last year we got Satelite, maNga (Turkey) and I seem to remember Denmark (probably because the familiarity to The Police/Sting )

Unfortunately yes jav! What was only supposed to be a couple hours turned in to 5 The upside though (if that's even possible ) is they were joking about making it up to me for helping....I'll need to pick my opportune moment to cash it in

How's your revision coming along? Is it your final exam this week too?
javjamoll84
16-05-2011
Nah. Next week. Not started properly revising for it yet will start Tuesday.

Haha, any thought to what you want them to do?
