Why cant Amy tell the Doctor?

That he is going to die? Surely he knows thats why he inviteds everyone and sends the invites, so he can only do this if someone tells him, surely?

Also random thought, but I'd quite like to see an episode or series arc where something has happened ala Blink where information has been put in certain places with wibbly wobbly time etc and then the story follows them trying to put the clues in place which saved them.

He can't know anything about the future of his own personal timeline.

He may get told something or have an inkling (he's very clever you know!)

By telling the Doctor he's going to die on a beach in Utah, they run the risk of changing those events, and so causing a dangerous paradox.

Remember the future Doctor has already experienced his past, so knows whether or not he'll figure it out based on the blue envelope/whether Amy will tell him etc, and allowed for that in whatever his plan was. Wibbly wobbly.

Maybe something she knows that she was made to forget about by the Silence - and not necessarily in 1969 or since the Doctor returned when she was grown up.

Amy's connection with the Doctor has a lot of gaps - some of them lasting years and some lasting a few seconds.

Actually, its now occuring to me that all these years that happened between meetings in S5, may not have been gaps at all but Silence intervention.

Amelia Pond, the girl who waited...or did she!?!

Yeah but the future doctor seems to know he is going to die, hence the envelopes and the petrol, so someone must tell him
