So, that's me finished with BGT

After the unbelievably bad acts that they have put through, then turning down the Highwaymen... what Don't think I'll be watching any more, as the judges clearly have no idea.

Don't blame you!

The nasty old poodle who jumped over a barrell gets through, the mad old woman dancing like a drunk, the high pitched welshman, plus other crap youtube rip offs, yet they say no to a genuinely talented act like that??? Mind boggling

Just said elsewhere don't you think it was all scripted for the drama affect? It was pretty obvious to me. When would Ant and Dec jump on stage to tell the judges they were good unless the producers told them too!

Who knows??? Amanda Holden wouldn't know talent if it bit her botoxed face off, so it's difficult to tell. It all kind of stunk a bit and left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'd just sat down to pass away an hour watching last night's programme and switched off once it got to "Terminator" going through. That was the tipping point for me though I'm surprised I made it to this episode

After the last few weeks, this programme has become a bigger parody of itself than even Peter Kay's spoof could manage

Total joke and have cancelled "series link" !!

How anyone could think otherwise is beyond me!

OP: They got through, always were going to and just wanted a daft little soap opera at the end.

Personally I think that they are the sort of act that should be on the bill anyway and not in the competition.

Just to add (and not evidence that is in any way needed or final): Apart from the fact most viewers knew what was coming next, a little added sign from McIntyre with his ear pulling, he looked a little uncomfortable with the whole set-up he had to play along with but that's why they get get paid wads of money, to play monkey-boy.

I'll add this in a spoiler tag so if you don't want to know don't click.

Spoiler
From what I read in one of the Sunday rags, MoD bosses have pulled them out anyway saying it would be a distraction to their duties in the forces.

A crying shame if it is true.

It is.
I do think, like I said above, they are an act you would expect to see in the line up already.

I hope that this is true. This moment was whe BGT jumped the shark for me. I have been struggling to find my love for BGT this year and have finally lost it altogether. The act was mediocre at best and the judges initial decison should have been final. For the judges to change thier mind because Ant and Decd disagree is beyond a joke. The judges are there for a reason.

I agree. All I heard was pathetic patriotism for a crap act. But I did realise - this is what they'll chose for the bloody queen. When Two and a Half Men were clearly much more talented.

They were cerainly not a "crap" act. A crap act is an elderly poodle jumping over a barrel, which somehow the same set of judges thought worthy of three yes's

I thought they were a 'crap' act. I take it I'm still allowed a view!!!? I would also consider a poodle jumping over a barrel crap - don't judge everyone by your downer on these three stupid judges!

The judges were right, the Highway Men shouldn't have gone through, yes they were good, but they were extremely tedious.

Pure patriotism there, if they weren't in the Royal Marines, would they have gone through, no didn't think so.

This was such a blatant fix I'm surprised someone didn't jump up and say fix.

It was all about PR for the show. They were never NOT going to put through soldiers who'd served in Iraq and Afghanistan and they were good obviously.

Then quel suprise they "pretend" they don't like them - the audience of course is shocked and stunned and thought they would sail through. The audience is taken in (as we all are) by this shocking judgement and make themselves heard. The audience then thinks they have a say in it.

Then oh what a suprise - the judges change their minds. Even Ant n Dec pretended they weren't in on it.

It was the most blatant fixed moment of the whole show - and about as subtle as a ton of bricks.

Cringeworthy. They really must think their viewing audience are stupid idiots.

I often think with all D.S. membership there has to be someone on here who has been to auditions...and see that some of it is a fix, just like the 'have you got another song'!!!!!

Actually my first thoughts when they appeared on stage was I am surprised the MOD allowed them to audition!

I think the judges this year are terrible. Amanda Holden says yes to virtually anything. We were amazed when she actually said no to two acts on Saturday, we were wondering if the word no was in her vocabulary.

Michael Macintyre seemed ok to begin with, but now he seems to be putting all sort of rubbish acts through and most of the time, it seems that he does it just to annoy David Hasselhoff. He doesn't seem to understand what talent is all about.

David Hasselhoff is the only one that seems to be sensible about who goes through. I should think that he thinks the other two are mad, or that the British are mad!

I say get rid of Amanda and Michael, keep David and bring back Simon and Piers.

That's what really bugs me - they take the audience for fools. So many of the acts (i.e. the ones they have already decided will get through) appear to be miming (clue: hold the microphone very close to your lips!), then there's the 'fixes' like this one - it's all too fake for my liking.

The minute Michael said no, I said to my wife "They're going to do all the backstage stuff about changing their minds now, they haven't done that yet this series."

Every series of X Factor there is one occasion of "I think I made the wrong choice", "Lets call them back".

And lo and behold, exactly as I predicated. It was obviously scripted to make the audience feel that they have a say, and build hype for the "underdog" act. Why a no for these guys but a yes for the bells couple, or the elderly dog? It wasn't the greatest drum act ever, but it was better than most of the crap thats got through this series. Clearly a set up.
