Hi,
I have 2 kitten's age 10weeks and 8 weeks who I found today suckling on my 9 month+(possibly older) cat who is possibly pregnant (she was rescued a couple of weeks ago) is this normal? My cat was happily lying there and letting them do this..

I have a 9 month old kitten/cat, who still suckles on my quilt when she goes to sleep. Probably perfectly normal

If the two young kittens were still with their mothers, suckling at their age would be nothing unusual especially at 7 weeks. What strikes me as unusual is the older kitten is letting them suckle her. BTW if you are not sure at present if she is pregnant it's not too late to get her neutered.

She's off to the vets this week to discuss it and to see if she actually is. I've attached a photo of them suckling on her so you can see how contented she is.

The following is a photo of her teats taken 2-3days ago.

Those nipples look rather pink, but the kittens suckling will be confusing the issue... The first sign of pregnancy in domestic cats, about 3 weeks after mating, is 'pinking up' - the nipples get larger and pinker. But I imagine the suckling might have the same effect.

Yeah thats what i've thought, however they have been like that for around a week and I only caught the kitten's suckling her today so not sure if its a first or if they've been doing it for the last few days, i'm gonna seperate them tonight as I don't wanna confuse Lola as ive been told if she isn't it can cause a phantom.

awww that is gorgeous!! If she is pregnant my only concern would be milk supply for her own kittens.

I don't think there's any fundamental problem with suckling other queens' kittens though.

Hope all is well at the vet, keep us updated

All of your puddies are gorgeous xx
