Hi guys,

I need your help urgently, basically i just purchased a new Philips BDP300 Blu-Ray Player but what seems to happen is it will randomly cut to a black screen for about 5 seconds with no sound too.

I kept checking the player to see whether anything was wrong and then i suddenly realised that every time i use another electrical item in my household by plug or switch something on, it will cut to the black screen on my blu-ray player.

Such a strange situation, i will switch the a living room light on, or switch a plug on in my house and it will go black again for 5 seconds.

Is there something wrong with my player or does a setting need to be changed?

Can you plug it in somewhere else, or use a surge protected extension?

I plugged it upstairs to check it and it was exactly the same. I would switch a plug off or a light switch and it would be still cut to a black screen.

Not sure whether to send it back in it's warranty to see if it's not working.
