Whilst watching Home & Away today, I was kind of disappointed with how Eloise just died.

I know that sounds odd, but Home and Away have many a time done dramatic deaths, that move people to tears, but for some reason it didn't work.

I kind of expected a heart breaking final scene between Max & Eloise before she slipped away, some sad incidental music playing and the credits begin - but it didn't happen.

Anyone else disappointed with this?

Matt

I thought it was alright, she was barely more than an extra anyway.
And too much sadness isn't necessarily a good thing, I don't want to cry, boys don't cry.

I was expecting more along the lines of Blake/Meg. Had me crying buckets. Can't believe that was 10 years ago.
I suppose they are a little young for a full on death scene.

incidently, what's happened to the actress who used to play Leah's mum (since the early 90's in Heartbreak High in fact) ?
That's twice now she's failed to make an appearance

Which one do you mean? Two actresses have played Helen Poulos. One was Peta Toppano who featured in the "so over the top it's brilliant" series "Return To Eden" & the other was someone who's name I can quite recall at the moment.

It was just a bit boring for me. I had seen it done before in Home & Away. I actually watched a similar episode on my Classic Home & Away video.

WHAT????????????????????????????????

I think the final scenes were really good, in the helecopter over sydney! ...and as someone pointed out, Eloise was not a full time cast member, infact she has only been in a hand full of episodes. I think this storyline is just to add some depth into Max's character, and is a kind of set up for whats about to happen next week............................

Latest spoiler from Oz :
Ailsa returns to the bay ! I
It will be revealed that the woman we saw towards the end actually was her twin sister. She was madly in love with Alf so she abducted Ailsa and had her detained by a cult who agreed to do so in exchange for funding (we'll later learn that she was stealing money from the diner).
The real Ailsa is due to escape next month. But could her return to the bay be short-lived ?

I loved that programme. So OTT it was brilliant. The crocodiles and the plastic surgery.
What was the name of the female lead?

In australia HAA is much more a rating success than Neighbours and has been for quite a few years now!!

It will never be more popular in the UK unfortunatly because it goes up against the 6pm news on BBC and also not everyone can get channel 5!

I liked the Eloise dying storyline, thought it was very well done. Even the squirt Max was likeable for this episode. Shame we're back to the Kirsty, Kane, Kirsty, more Kirsty storyline and more to come....Can't someone just shoot her and be done with it. The Sutherland storyline(S) have dragged on for far too long and for those that read the spoilers, even more rubbish to come. Time for that family to go, Sally to move in to the house and start adopting kids and get H&A back on to its original path.
