Because her current football team (West Ham) got relegated today and her former club (Birmingham) could be joining them next week.

She never come back, she's too busy doing her 'Indiana Jones' thing these days, studying scripts.

While of course there is a link between the running of the business of a football club and the performance of the team I don't see how a team getting relegated makes the managing director a bad business woman?

The fact is under her management she dragged Birmingham City from the brink of bankruptcy and at the moment is in charge of a club that has been left in a dire financial state thanks to the previous chairman. While being relegated will do no favours her job at the moment is to try and maintain some growth and stability to the financial state of the club wherever the club is in the league.

Her success as a businesswoman will be dictated how well she manages the mess the books are in. In making the club profitable again.

Managers/Coaches/Players are responsible for being relegated.
And Directors are responsible for Managers being hired and fired.

If she is a "successful" business woman, then she hides it very well indeed.

In her role as Vice chairman of WHFC, she has done a terrible job. She has contributed to the team being relegated. You just have to see the stunts she has pulled whilst in her position at WH.

If the owners werent close friends, then she would have been sacked a long time ago.

weren't spurs going to rebuild it right after the olympics?

Sounds like a wasteful plan and as I understand it WH will keep it's facility for athletics.

it is the athletics legacy that won it for WH - it had always been important that the olympics led to additional athletics facilities in the city - Spurs didn't want to retain athletic capacity and WH proposed doing so. problem is now that WH need to bounce back immeditately or they may not have the cash to move in and do what was proposed.

IMO WH are a 'proper' football club with a decent record of developing young English players and playing football rather than hoofball for the most part so i think their collapse has been bad for the game.

And despite this she probably still has a rudimentary grasp of punctuation.

No, but the police were called to an WHFC dinner tonight!

Apparently, Villa fans had an inflatable doll on Saturday and were singing "There is only one Karren Brady".

I've raised this issue on another thread about KB

There is more than a "link" between being on the board and the performance of a club.

In my view if all KB was guilty of was trying to sort out the mess of previous owners I wouldn't criticise her. Unfortunately ever since Gold/Sullivan and Brady took over there has been one disaster after another.

1)The hiring of the manager

2)The way the manager was treated while the board tried to entice Martin O'neill to the job

3)Brady allegedly whipping up player discontent by sending the players texts asking them to turn against the manager

4) Wanting to change the name of the club

etc etc

With respect to your last point the success of a football club is not soley judged (rightly or wrongly) on the balance sheet

i don't really see the connection between her football club and her job on the apprentice

all she contributes is an opion on how each candidate and task is going she doesnt have to give buisness advice

and it not Her's/West Ham's money shes playing with here
and at the end of the day LA just asks for KB and NH 's advice ( and most of the time just does what he wants anyway LOL )

mind you im sure there's a task of how to run a football club in there somewere
