it is the athletics legacy that won it for WH - it had always been important that the olympics led to additional athletics facilities in the city - Spurs didn't want to retain athletic capacity and WH proposed doing so. problem is now that WH need to bounce back immeditately or they may not have the cash to move in and do what was proposed.
And what football fan wamts to wach a game with a running track around the pitch ?

Terrible decision for West Ham

...and with a half full stadium. Average attendances in the championship around 30k. The Olympic stadium holds 60K.

Its going to be a very soulless ground.

However they dont take possession for another couple of years, so have time to get back into the premiership. Which isnt going to be easy, as their best players will leave.

Why is it so difficult for people to get her name right.

K - A - R - R - E - N

Two r's, to go with the five or so arse that posted here
Shame it was so difficult for her parents to get it right and spell it properly in the first place really

I distinctly remember going to greyhound racing at the old Wembley stadium, so that must have had a similar gap between supporters and pitch?

I would imagine so but there is a difference between football and greyhound racing - that gap may be more acceptable to greyhound racing fans

Managers/Coaches/Players are responsible for being relegated.
One thing for sure, when a club is doing well they will all claim credit.

To be fair to Karren, West Ham being relegated is little of her doing.

Many faults lie within West Ham way before you get to Karren.

You have International players (with the exception of Parker) who didn't give it everything

You had a manager who doesn't look like the type of man who would kick their asses back into line.

You have Gold and Sullivan talking rubbish about them all to the press, like that will help confidence levels.

Fact is West Ham could have saved them saves in the last two games but the players gave up and were beaten by the better Wigan time (not surprising when the manager leaves the better players on the bench for some odd reason)

The old Wembley Stadium originally had a running track, no one moaned about that then.

Anyhow, they are looking into a moveable seating area that can be wheeled out to where the track is..

So you saying publicly saying she does want Avram is going to help? What about texting senior players to turn on the manager? These contributed to their downfall. As a manager Avram knew he was going at the end fo the season, you think he put his all in?

To be fair to Karren, both she and David Gold wanted Grant gone in January, it was David Sullivan who apparently insisted he stayed - possibly due to the huge payout Grant would have received thanks to the FOUR year contract G + S gave him. The attempt to bring in Martin O'Neill was badly handled due to a certain loan player leaking the news to the press before it was all sorted out. I wish Ms Brady would cancel her Sun column forthwith if I am honest, but our problems this season have had little to do with her...

I was impressed that Karren remembered that Natasha (?) asked for the procurement manager at the ritz, after she'd BSed that she'd been trying to get some gen from the head chef.

You could hardly forget though, given how ludicrous an idea to ask for someone's supplier list was!

Wow - you're easily impressed.

I don't think she adds anything unique to proceedings tbh. She could be anybody...

Err.....yes ! I take it all back, she is clearly a genius. Fancy being able to remember something that happened a few hours ago

I'm not certain the correct spelling of her name or correct punctuation are key for the discussion.
I think she is like many people in her positon, and that is, 'at home pontificating in a boardroom'.
I dont like her much as a woman, her business skills are over-rated IMO, and I dont think she is good in her role on this show.

Agree with this. Don't find her inspirational nor insightful in the least...

Yes, he's been pretty much invisible this season, hasn't he?

Because her current football team (West Ham) got relegated today and her former club (Birmingham) could be joining them next week.
Achievement unlocked, well done love.

More like 15-20k. How will they even afford the ground?

Yep, your right. I was thinking of WHs attendance...thats around the 30K mark. Of course this may well go down next year...but not by much.

I have also heard/read somewhere, that the olympic stadium will be reduced in capacity when WH take it over. Not sure if this is true or not.
