It's weird that CBS Studios, UMS and ABC Studios produce only for their respectives channels, I think House is the only UMS show not on NBC. Body of Proof while a decent sized hit for ABC would have been huge on CBS.

I think you're right about House. ABC have Criminal Minds at CBS. I don't think CBS have anything on other networks. FOX obviously have incentive to produce for others because they've got less schedule space anyway (and Idol/XF take up some of that). Though I'm sure they'd love to have had How I Met Your Mother & Modern Family on their own network given their trouble with live action comedy. Interestingly, nothing for Jerry Bruckheimer this season as far as I can see. It only took how many flops?

Yeah but as you say it is still an increase. Neighbours is in a good place at the moment with the special guest Dieter Brumner, the Sonya storyline and Harold's return. What a complete turn around and I am glad the ratings show this!

I honestly thought 200,000 would be the highest Neighbours would get on ELEVEN, so for it get over 400,000 even just twice, is far far better than I and alot of people expected.

If this is the same Rachel Maddow, the answer is yes!! http://cdn.ihatethemedia.com/wp-cont...el-maddow1.jpg I may be the only one who does this, but when i see a lady who isnt overly femmine, I tend to focus on the thing that I see that is even slightly femmine, till all i see is that, and then wham bam, the women is all femmine. Also its only when she wears her glasses, she doesnt look femmine, the rest of the time the only non femmine thing about her is the hair cut Plus she has something else that attracts me to a woman, and strong sense of self. Also thirdly she probaly has alot of money, I could do with dating a rich woman at the moment. |

Now if you were talking about Ellen DeGeneres' partner Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development, Better Off Ted), I would know where you're coming from. |

Maybe I just like women I cant have ![]() Also like most women, looks better on the telly. and BTW, NOW your worried about me, NOW? ive displayed a pathalogical hatered of a TV channel, and that didnt worry you, but thinking a woman with short hair in a suit is attractive, is when you worry? I also can post selective images as well http://msnbcmedia1.msn.com/j/MSNBC/C...8.grid-4x2.jpg |

Terrible rating for Home Is Where The Heart Is - ITV1's lowest overnight rating in the 9pm slot since August 2009 (1.5m for a Champions League qualifier involving foreign sides). I wonder if ITV1 was bottom in the slot? Depends on if BBC2 experienced a boost compared to last week, as I'm sure HIWTHI would've been lower than BBC1, C4 and C5.
Other 9pm ratiungs Crimewatch: Catch Me If You Can (BBC1) 4.9m The Country House Revealed (BBC2) 1.6m Secret Millionare (C4) - 2.1m (2.4m inc HD and +1) CSI (C5) - 2.3m |

EDIT: It wasn't quite bottom, but the rating is still woeful. About +1, I think it could prove very useful for the BGT live shows this year as they'll be starting at 8:30pm on +1. ITV should give the channel a bit of promotion in time for BGT, as I think we could see audiences approaching 1m on +1, which will help out it's overall total and perhaps lessen the dent from the earlier slot. |

Horrid figure for ITV1 in the 9pm slot, against easier opposition than last week.

As with Monday, "The Scheme" aired in Scotland on BBC1 at 10:35pm. It's a very heavily promoted series in the newspapers after it was pulled from the schedules last year. This weeks episodes are repeats of the two that made it to air last year. Next week is the beginning of new episodes. I'd imagine it is rating considerably higher than if BBC1 Scotland had shown the national programme which might cause the officials to differ somewhat.

New BBC1 drama series commissioned, 'The Syndicate': Quote:
Kay Mellor, the writer behind Band of Gold and Fat Friends, has penned a new drama series for BBC1 about a group of supermarket workers who win the lottery.
Mellor’s indie Rollem Productions has been commissioned to make 5 x 60-minute drama The Syndicate. It will go into production in September for a broadcast on BBC1 next year in a post-watershed slot. The series will centre on staff at a small cut-price supermarket in Leeds whose lives change after winning the jackpot. Mellor, who is in the process of writing the series, researched the role by working at a Spar in Leeds and interviewing lottery winners. “It’s a project I’m particularly excited about and I can’t wait to bring it to the screen,” she said of the as-yet-uncast drama. “We’re living through difficult times. More and more ordinary people live from week to week hoping, wishing, that they’ll win the lottery to elevate financial pressures and lift them out of profound debt. “I’m delighted that [BBC head of drama commissioning] Ben Stephenson and [head of drama, BBC England Independents] Polly Hill were keen to develop the project and were happy to green light production on the basis of the first episode.” Source: Broadcast |

Ch5 comfortably in 2nd place in the 9pm slot which is fantastic. 3rd place on Monday too. Their 9pm lineup is incredibly strong with CSI, New York, NCIS, The Mentalist & Hotel Inspector. Their 8pm lineup seems to be letting them down atm with not much capable of 1m+.
Another low for ITV1 in the 9pm slot. I wonder how things would be if LLF was airing on Tuesdays and HIWTHI on Thursdays? Pretty low for Emmerdale too. Strong night for BBC1. EE matching Mondays rating and CW benefiting from weak competition. |
