Lol, more than just posters here it seems. Its like there is some sort of world crisis that Danii has jumped ship. Sinnitas reported tweets read more like the world is descending into nuclear holocaust rather than celebrity/talent fluff and bickering.
When I saw the red BREAKING NEWS banner when I first logged on here this morning, I assumed somebody had died.

I bet most TXF viewers, given their likely attention span, had forgotten who the judges are anyway.

With XF:USA airing 8-9.30pm on Wednesdays and 8-9pm on Thursdays, how about ITV1 airing it Thursdays 8.30-10pm and Fridays 9-10pm, moving Corrie back to Sundays and resting the UK version for a season/year? Obviously that would never ever happen, but it would be interesting to see what the results were. Whilst it wouldn't be capable of the 11m+ figures XF:UK brings, I reckon it would pull a solid 6-7m on Thursdays and Fridays for several weeks.

It would get 3-4m tops. The UK family audience is not going to engage with a bunch of US kids

I see BARB has updated.

Good to see Exile held a 5m+ official audience - with 5.11m and 5.31m for eps 2 and 3, after ep 1 debuted with 5.5m. Decent retention for what was quite challenging drama at times.

Waterloo Road is the eye-opener with 5.67m. With the timeshifts it gets, I suspect it may be over 6m when next week's officials come in.

Shadow Line debuted to 3.71m including HD. Decent timeshift there from a low-ish base. Obviously that's going to drop by about a third, but it certainly started well.

The top 3 BBC2 shows would all have made the ITV1 top 30; the Dad's Army repeat in 4th place with a fantastic 2.4m was just short.

First time ITV1 HD has had two programmes topping a miilion.

BGT with 1.012m (9% HD share) and Champions League (15.5% HD share).

Not bad to get 1 in 6 viewers watching in HD, especially as it's not widely available in Scotland and NI.

The excellent Psychoville made number five in the BBC HD chart. Unfortunately, it didn't get a look in on BBC2's top 30.

Why do the masses not watch the best programmes?

Thanks for those. Where do you get them from?

One interesting thing is that the terrestrial HD ratings give a good indication of what FTA programmes pay TV viewers watch.

Given the big fuss over an animated Graham Norton appearing over the DW closing credits the other year, I'm not surprised that 85% of DW viewers prefer to watch the "clean" un-DOGged version on BBC1 SD.

Yes, the very long outro cost it as the game was effectively a title decider so higher profile.

4pm to 7pm with a 4.10pm ko effectively gave more dead time than 3.30pm to 6.30pm with a 4pm ko.

The longer intro coming from a previous game is less dead than the much longer outro.

I assume the time of year - weather, daylight etc would also have had an effect but you're the expert in that area (!)

FOX's fall schedule brings few surprises. Both Terra Nova and X Factor have been lined up for well over a year. The former has a pilot priced at $14m, the latter is expensive for a reality show and has had lots of promotion. There's no doubt that all eyes will be on how those shows perform.

FOX are hoping that intense promotion, the high concept and involvement of a certain Steven Spielberg Terra Nova will deliver a strong start for Terra Nova, even without a lead-in. It creates a solid looking drama line-up on Mondays which could benefit from NBC/ABC both running 2 hour reality series and CBS going with comedy. Ideally, Terra Nova will do well and give some support to House, which fell sharply this year. Of course, if TN fails, House could slide further.

If FOX don't beat CBS to the 18-49 crown this fall, it will be a big disappointment. They did it in 2009 for the first time ever and they'll expect to do it again. Even modest (vs expectations) numbers for X Factor and Terra Nova should deliver a victory.

One other interesting thing - FOX will premiere American Idol after the NFC Championship Game on 22nd January (although that's only a provisional date).

I think this'll be the final season of House anyway, Touch I think will more premiere in 2012-13 with a sneak peak after Idol and even if Terra Nova does well, I think post production will prevent it from getting more than 13 episodes this season.

If FOX sticks to this midseason schedule, I'll be shocked!

I have a question about the Fox line up, what will air in the Results show slots, before the results shows are part of the X-Factor & Idol formats?

It is good to see Terra Nova on the scheulde, FOX obviously thinking it can be made, I hope it turns out to be good.

Yeah, it probably would have had a bit of an effect to be honest. The 6th February match was Chelsea 1 - Liverpool 0. (which arguably was more anticipated than Man United/Chelsea because of Torres, Dalglish return etc)

The BBC One HD DOG is very faint. Hardly noticeable.

You can't compare it with the GN debacle.

The capturing and killing of Bin Laden brought big figures to the news channels on Monday 2nd May, all 10/10 entries in Sky News' top 10 are for the Monday, while 7/10 entries in BBC News' top 10 are for the Monday. Here's the figures:

BBC News
09:00 - 327,000
10:00 - 426,000
10:30 - 496,000
11:00 - 380,000
12:00 - 412,000
13:00 - 424,000
17:00 - 379,000

Sky News
08:00 - 239,000
08:32 - 303,000
09:00 - 385,000
09:32 - 370,000
10:00 - 464,000
10:32 - 379,000
11:00 - 371,000
11:30 - 280,000
13:00 - 300,000
13:32 - 276,000

Source: BARB

Sky News was not that far behind BBC News, however it is worth noting that BBC1 was simulcasting BBC News until 09:45 and had a News Special at 11:30.

If TN takes off, then I think House will definitely go. And I agree about Touch - there's really no room for it to play a full 13 episodes.

I have a question about the Fox line up, what will air in the Results show slots, before the results shows are part of the X-Factor & Idol formats?
Just regular episodes. Rather than 6 weeks of auditions episodes on Saturays, it'll be 3 weeks of auditions with episodes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Is Popstar To Operastar definitely going on...
I have a bad feeling about a second series of this, just as I had a bad feeling about a second series of So You Think You Can Dance.

Especially in summer!
