If it's any consolation, you're probably not older than my mother (I say probably because I have no idea how old you are).
Probably not - I'm nearly 44.

ETA I see that number and feel like I'm writing about someone else!

Because James was such a fascinating character. He should come back and Christian should apologise for the way he treated him, then they could fall in love all over again. I know they got off to a shaky start, but I honestly think they're meant to be. Syed can get with Ryan or something, I don't even like him anyway.

The proposal for me is going to be tainted by the fact that Christian only got with Syed because James rejected him. Christian's all-consuming passion for James was easy to miss, but it was there. We Jistian shippers can see it.
I needed a good laugh Thank you 'Jistian' sounds so odd

James was such a good cook too, what with his spring lamb in September, always prepared to go against the grain..... The most 'out there' thing Syed does is drink coke instead of orange juice and even then I bet it's diet

i'm slowly going to die during exams all but 2 are over 1 and 1/2 hours long
One of my maths exams is 2 and 1/2 hours Then I have another one where I'll be in the exam hall all on my own with an invigilator who hates me because they're having to work extra hours

Well isn't that peachy. I'm older than your mother.
If it helps any, I think you're slightly younger than my mother.... you're welcome.

I am going to assume you are having a funny turn!

I cant believe you have a name for this ship tsk
Do you prefer Chrames? Even the combination of their names is beautiful.

Yeah. I can relate. My top 5 scenes are as follows:

1) Forehead kiss
=2) Perfect moment
=2) James' rejection of Christian.
4) Therapy
5) 'But I love you for it'.
'Forehead kiss' is nice, but I think James' rejection of Christian gives us a much better idea of the character he was then, and really highlights the contrast between the man he was then and man he was to become. It's so subtly beautiful, that scene, what with Christian encouraging James to cheat on 'Ed'. Plus it's the closest Christian and James ever come to getting it on onscreen, and, well, that's just too hot to ignore.

I'm a few pages late, but yay new thread and congrats asyousay!

Should I be worried that I knew exactly what AR meant by 'reunion date thread' and also that it was wrong and should be 167?

We all have our vices. Prizing mama off of the Pinot is a thankless task though. Women drink more the older they get. And your ma's still young so she'll just get worse and worse. Just find a vice that makes you not mind hers
Yeah I'm just a moany bitch and a little envious that my mum has a more active social life at the moment than me to be fair on her.

I think one of hers is the same as mine this year! But it isn't normally, as the second one is always on different dates
Yep, either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Saturday of June apparently . My birthday is on a Saturday this year though so maybe I'll be sharing it with the Queen

I have them all this week and one next week. I'm prepared to fail Sociology.

It's a bit of an ongoing thing though- my mum hasn't cooked for us in about four years and hires a cleaner and goes out every other night. Nice to know she cares.
I have 2 this week , 5 next week , 1 after half term

Does it help to know you're exactly halfway between me and my mother's ages?

My mother was a particularly (too) young mother, if that helps any.

If it's any consolation, my mother's cooked me about six meals in my entire life. :-P And she doesn't own an iron, which should give you an idea of her cleaning skills. I'm making her sound like a bit of a nutter - ahwell, she is a bit.

This is all most helpful. Remind to come here again the next time I'm feeling my age.

'Forehead kiss' is nice, but I think James' rejection of Christian gives us a much better idea of the character he was then, and really highlights the contrast between the man he was then and man he was to become. Plus it's the closest Christian and James ever come to getting it on onscreen, and, well, that's just too hot to ignore.
I like the narrative mirroring, there, too. Y'know, how James rejects Christian because he doesn't want to cheat on his boyfriend and Christian later rejects James after cheating on him with Syed. It's just beautiful. Tragic, that James' morals prevent him from discovering happiness with his true love, and then when 'Ed' was discovered for the scoundral he was, it was too late. But beautiful all the same.

I'm a few pages late, but yay new thread and congrats asyousay!

You really, really should be. If you start looking at people's post counts to see any significant dates, get professional help.

You're younger than my mum, just. Although she always rounds her age up 6 months before her birthday so I don't think she's got much of a clue how old she is
