Erm... lets not get carried away Jequila, Kate is definitley the more famous and 'revered' of the sisters.

I understand those who are defending Pippa. She isn't a Cheryl Cole or Kim Kardashian type figure but I still feel that if she didn't want the press she could have avoided attending Wimbledon and other public events this year where she KNEW press would be there.

I personally think she is secretly loving the attention but really, her fame is of a more vapid kind whereas Kate's fame is more... understandable and warranted.

Kate's fame comes from the fact that she married into the Royal Family
Pippa's fame comes from her wearing a dress which emphasised her behind on her sister's wedding

All in all its just another instance of the media shoving someone down our throats and telling us they're incredibly beautiful and that we have to love them

Bumping this, as even though it's been almost a year since the Royal Wedding, Daybreak/Lorraine (I can't remember which one) are going to do a whole week of features so that women everywhere can get their bums to look like Pippa's. There are not enough rolly-eyes smilies in the world that could convey how I feel about this.

I have nothing against Pippa as I doubt she has much control when it comes to how much the media talks about her, but I find it ridiculous her bottom as been mentioned in some form of media probably daily since the wedding day. I also find it incredibly offensive to see a woman reduced to being just one body part. There is something really gross about the way the media talk about her bottom. Even when they fawned over J-Lo's years back, it wasn't the same level of skeeviness that it is when it comes to the Pippa coverage.

I'm sure it would be less annoying if she didn't look so friggin pleased with herself in every photo.

Having said that, she's probably just happy and I don't begrudge her that!

I don't find the press coverage annoying, but I do find it a bit bemusing. To me Pippa Middleton is a reasonably attractive girl with a pleasant but undemanding and hardly rocket science type career. Apart from being Kate Middleton's sister and looking good in her bridesmaid's dress nearly a year ago, what exactly are we supposed to find so interesting about her??

WHY on earth are the media trying to make her 'happen' and be some sort of 'it' girl. I really could not care less about her. I'm sure she is a nice person and I think she did a great job at the wedding but I do not need to hear about her whereabouts on a daily/weekly basis. It is getting very tiresome.

Some coverage here and there about Kate is different because she is a Princess now and the Duchess of Cambridge but Pippa? No!!
Now that Tara Palmer Plonkinson is getting a bit long in the tooth Pippa is the new royalty related crumpet. Who will be next

Probably Pippa is, she never asked for it and has never courted it

I don't like either of the Middleton sisters. I think Kate played a good game and got her golden ticket and Pippa just loves the publicity, she has the face of chewed up wasp.
I get sick of the comparisons between Princess Diana and Kate. Princess Diana was a naturally loving and caring person and I think Kate reaises how much Diana was loved by her sons and by the public so she's trying to copy her and be the next Princess Diana.
Princess Diana was real and natural, Kate is a fake wannabee...

Agreed, Julie. I don't like them either. Awful Sloane snobs who have never done a day's work in their lives.

They both seem to have been involved in the family business with her own business. What job do you think they should do, allowing for the fact that whatever job they do they will followed at all times by hordes of paparazzi.

I am sure Pippa is earning a lot more than I ever did, you might not approve of the work she does but she seems successful at it. Is it any worse than being paid half a million a week or month (or whatever it is) for kicking a ball around a field once or twice a week for a few hours? Or huge amounts for making a pop record?

At least the bulk of these people playing football and cutting records work for a living which is more than the royals do. And they've had some experience of the real world.

Always good to have first-hand input. How long have you personally known them both?

Yes, I got that the first time. But I was curious about how long you'd known them, moved in the same circles, etc. Because as neither of them give great interview and don't have outrageously indiscreet friends (even if the DM resorts to pretending they do) you must have personal knowledge of them. Otherwise such condemnation would just be attributable to plain, bitter, unattractive envy / jealousy.

Normandie, there are only two women I have ever wanted to be. And neither of them are the Middleton sisters. So please ditch the jealousy line.

And just because you Brits fawn over overprivileged poshos, don't make the mistake of thinking the rest of the world does.

You're the one making the idiotic generalisations here, not anyone else.

What chip, Mary? Since when did not liking someone mean one has a chip on one's shoulder?

I do not like the Royals. I am politically opposed to them and to all privilege by birthright. Like respect, it should be earned.

I speak my mind and tell it like it is. Accept it because I'll never change.

Am I the only person that thinks Pippa is actually pretty plain and ordinary looking? Certainly not in Kate's league anyway.
