The biscuit to chocolate ratios seem strange, normally it's around equal parts biscuit to chocolate. With only 10 dg biscuits going in, isn't more like a bar of choc with bits through rather than a cake?

10 digestive biscuits broken up along with the maltesers and crunchie and rolos spreads out well over the melted chocolate.

I have a large creuset plastic container which allows the biscuit cake to set in the fridge and it pops straight out when i want to chop it up.

It makes like 5 big pieces of biscuit cake for 6 people each

i dont mean it like a proper cake. Ive always known it as "biscuit cake" here in ireland.

More like a rocky road slice but with no marshmallows (hate them) or raisins or nuts.

Also similar to a refrigerator cake or chocolate crunch cake (without the rolos, crunchies and maltesers and with condensed milk instead)

Sounds very sweet but nice.

How big is the whole cake in size? Like, 12inches round or... Sounds like a hell of a lot of chocolate!

Even better, visit each forum member's house personally with a piece of cake.

But pictures would be nice too

Is it ok if I add my recipe for biscuit cake here as well. Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread just seemed the right place to put it.

Ingredients

110g Unsalted Butter
300g Dark Chocolate again can be milk for those who prefer it
175g Bourbon Biscuits crushed into smallish bits not too small though
75g Raisins
110g Glace Cherries
110g Mini Marshmallows halved or big marshallows just chopped up more
25g White Chocolate for decoration

Although I say Cherries and Raisins I usually just tend to use mixed fruit which has orange and lemon peel in it as well and omit the cherries and it still works out ok.

Method

Melt Chocolate and Butter
Add biscuits, raisins, cherries, marshmallows until completely covered in the chocolate.
Transfer to the tin and then in the fridge until its set
To decorate just melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over it.

I sometimes when I'm melting the chocolate add a couple of chocolate orange bars to the mix and it gives it a nice orangey taste that ties in with the mixed fruit and peel I use and I use a silicon tin as well and it seems to come out more easily from that.
