should I replace my ps3(and wii) for a proper blu-ray player?
My sister would like both of them, I only use the PS3 for playing blu-ray and bbc iplayer.

Is there a player that is easy to update to the latest firmware, can do iplayer, ITV player, 4OD and Demand 5.

I am also thinking of replacing my surround sound system, what can people recommend.

I'd keep the PS3 and buy a remote control and just have it as a blu ray player, from what I've heard its one of the best Blu Ray players on the market anyway! with the added bonus of having a good media centre.

Also the PS3 is easy to update so you shouldn't have any problems playing the latest Blu-rays.

I would keep Ps3.

For the surround sound do not go for dvd package system. Go for an AV receiver some decent speakers.

A proper AV system with a decent receiver and speakers.

I'd say you would be very hard pushed to do better . It's basically a decent amp with lots of connectivity for the price of an all in one with only one digital audio input.

An excellent deal, and a bloody great amp in itself (my cousin has this setup). I'm hoping to replace my ageing Yamaha system with this later in the year.

IMO keep the PS3 ITV player and 4OD are already on there with the iPlayer I believe Demand5 is in the pipeline.....It continually keeps updated....

If you sell your PS3 you can get a fully multiregion Bluray player - and thats MR for Bluray aswell as dvd .
