USB TV tuner freeview UK

Have Dell Zino HD with Windows 7 (64 bit) and Windows Media Center. Would like to buy a USB TV tuner so I can connect rooftop aerial to Dell Zino. This would allow me to use the Zino's Windows Media Center to record and watch UK freeview digital television.

Would appreciate any recommends or advice on a USB TV tuner which allowing me to do this.

Thanks.

Well you will have solved the biggest problem with those USB tuners by using the loft aerial

I think you may also need to check out whether the stick you are intrested in is certified for use with Media Center.

That might be old info now but it used to be case that they needed a certain software stack/library to integrate properly with MC

I think "thegreenbutton" used to be the site for all MC stuff
edit: oh - seems to have gone now

Be aware that some of these USB TV receivers use an MCX adapter. I would steer clear of those, and go for one that accepts the aerial plug directly - PCTV Sytems, though, who make the only known USB DVB-T2 Freeview HD receiver uses the MCX adapter and they will supply a more robust version if asked.

Hauppauge own PCTV Systems, incidentally, but they still produce their own products. My Hauppauge Freeview USB receivers accept the aerial directly - without an adapter.
