Looking for a song with 'waterloo' in lyrics
A single male singing, it appears to be a recent song (within 12-18months)
I think the lyrics go something like 'last time i saw you in waterloo' or something like that Apologies for not giving you much to go on but that is the only part i can remember

Are you sure it's a male singing? Lyrics sound like Paris by Dido. Maybe it was a cover of the song?

It's definitely a male singing, the song is faster than that too

Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks? It's not recent though, unless someone else has covered it.

I was hoping you meant You're My Waterloo by Peter Doherty/The Libertines. Alas not
