I love Christmas Tree. She had better write some original Christmas themed tunes which could become classics

GagaDaily has this as her upcoming schedule;

May 27 – Good Morning America
Jun 19 – MuchMusic Video Awards
Jun 25 – MTV Video Music Aid Japan

They're shooting TEOG video this week, but there's still a lot of days unaccounted for, unless they're smaller scale appearances not mentioned.

It is by far one of my favourite Christmas songs, it puts the Cheeky Girls 'Cheeky Christmas' song to shame.

I'm so happy that Gaga is doing one!!”

nope, I always have my Xmas tradition of watching Hocus Pocus on the 1st of november followed directly by Muppet Xmas carol, to pass the baton officially from halloween to Xmas, then it's an Elf/Home Alone/ xmas spectacular from then on.

Oh no!

Is it wrong that I'm getting excited for Christmas in May!!!

I think, re-reading the quote and disregarding DS's report...she isn't saying that she's going to do a jazzy Christmas album, she wants to do a jazz album to release at Christmas.

A much better prospect if you ask me. She can't go wrong with acoustics + jazz standards. Christmas covers run the risk of being tacky messes, and obviously very seasonal. I want to listen to it all year round.

Yes, I read it that way too. I'm not a fan of Christmas music either so I hope that's what she meant as well.

Apparently they're quite reliable, predicting Taylor's million sales before it was confirmed and generally being on point with estimates. As always; pinch of sale, but still...this is pretty damn amazing.

Well, by "Gaga and jazz standards" I assume she means stripped down hits and a few covers. That would be relatively simple to throw together, and could be promoted along with her BTW campaign. Would be an amazing Christmas present to her fans. I doubt anyone would say 'no', they'll make a lot of money and she'll progress her reputation.

Haha, thanks

Yeah, I think they must be aware that they can't wait a month for the video. Hopefully it'll be a relatively quick turn around of a few weeks. Tops.

I love this Gaga song! It's the reason my friend who isn't a Gaga fan bought the album 'Born This Way'!

The bridge @ 3:10 is soooo beautiful with the guitar!!!

Hey guys, I'm a newcomer to the forum as may be evident but wanted to sign up primarily so I could go onto this thread and talk about GaGa! I haven't always been a massive fan of hers, I was taking my exams last year and didn't really have much time to focus on her so just thought her music was similar to the rest but now I've had time to focus, I really appreciate the majority of the songs that she has released, she is getting better with every album/EP release and her songs just want to make me dance around the room like crazy!

I love Born This Way, it's so different from everything out there that it's amazingly spectacular in a great way. Anyway seeing as it's morning I'll stop there

Though one question, I get all the songs in the album bar two. What is Bloody Mary about? Like I get the religious aspect but I don't get how to relate it to GaGa. Plus what is Fashion of His Love about?

Nice to meet you all

Hi, well this is what lady gaga had to say about bloody mary:

Bloody Mary is quite subtle actually, it’s a song about Mary being divine and human at the same time, with a subtext (maybe it’s not even a subtext) about the role of a woman who is supposed to be a superstar and a real woman at the same time. Not life alteringly deep perhaps but it works as a pop song.

So the lyrics are Mary sort of talking… If you listen to the lyrics and the way the cadence goes, the way I’m actually singing, I start quite sweetly then I go into these quite demonic tones, then I come back to sweetness, and then the chorus is me ultimately, publicly singing, ‘I won’t cry for you, I won’t crucify the things you do, I won’t cry for you when you’re gone I’ll still be Bloody Mary’. I’ll still bleed, is what I’m trying to say. I guess I’m fascinated by her – like I said, I worshipped women in my religion as a young girl – and in my belief Mary was in it all along. I think she knew what was going to happen. But I also believe that she loved him, and I believe there was a moment when she cried. So she says ‘I won’t cry for you’ but in the rest of the song, in the way that it feels, it’s sad and quite… Dirgic? Is that the right word? Like a death dirge… There’s that kind of quality to it. It’s about me having to be a superstar.

hope that helps

Ahh okay, that kind of makes sense, thank you Looking at it from the Mary Magdalene aspect, it really is a beautiful song! The album seems to just be getting better per listen!

Although is she rejoicing because Jesus sent a wonderful message, or is she celebrating his death? It confuses me. Maybe I'm looking too much into this

I loved her MTV interview.

I didn't lke the American Idol performance. EOG is my favourite from the album, but it didn't work in that setting, and she just looked awkward. Her acoustic at Big Weekend was much better, I love that performance.

Although it was short, her performance of Judas on SNL was my favourite so far for that song, much better than Ellen, anyway.

I hope the video for EOG is great, to match such an awesome song. I have high hopes for this, because my other two favourite songs from GaGa (Paparazzi and Bad Romance) both have brilliant clips.

to be honest i felt that Edge could have had a more dramatic feel, i usually do feel awkward watching her lol, but honestly it was pretty good!

I am still not sure what my definitive fave song is from Born This Way! because while i felt there was some good songs on The Fame and TFM, Dance In The Dark was my only real fave.

but BTW is filled to the brim with ones i like and love!

I mean literally i can spin the album without skipping (an occurence this year!) Marry The Night, Schiebe, Highway Unicorn, Bloody Mary, Hair, Heavy Metal Lovers, Edge, Americano are mesmerising!
