Been without landline for 3 days!!!
and internet speed is quarter of what it normally is
Spoken to AOL daily and keep getting told it is being investigated. Engineer is now booked for Friday!! Which I said I wasn't happy for it taking so long to get someone out Changed ADSL filters, removed front plate from master socket and tried working phone in test socket, no luck There doesn't seem to be any urgency from AOL's part to send someone out, even though it will be 5 days before an engineer can come After the line is sorted I will be looking at paying my contract off and moving to another provider

Sounds like a classic line fault.
Most ISPs are reluctant to call Openreach or, in this case, stall because it costs them money |

Well on Wednesday I was given an engineer appointment for this morning; no show!!
Spending close to an hour on the phone, they wanted me to go through the same checks I have been doing all week. They have now offered me compensation for the downtime but, I've told them, it's not about the money, I just want the service I'm paying for Will now have to wait until Monday because engineer do not work weekends Is there any other action or reliable line of complaint I can pursue? |
