You would have been quicker googling it rather than starting a thread
Googling why none of them knew what a cloche is?

yep, would have taken all of two minutes to go to a bookstore and find out. Morons
Rather like the people who call the candidates morons for not doing something when they have no idea of the rules to which the candidates are working.

I'm surprised the '10" Stainless Steel' below the word didn't give a slight clue.
To be fair, they did rule out the greenhouse type cloche on those grounds.

going into a bookshop and looking at a dictionary isn't against the rules. Now who's the moron?

Please provide a link that supports that assertion.

Now who's the moron?
Dunno, perhaps the person who is making dogmatic statements about what is and isn't against the rules without providing evidence for that?

Anyone who has ever either:

Had room service
Watched 'I'm A Celebrity ...'
has come across a cloche.

Anyone who hasn't just doesn't have the real world experience required to become the Apprentice

Just because you've had room service doesn't mean that the waiter has enumerated the names of everything s/he brings into the room.

They would at least need to get permission to film in the bookshop. I dare say most booksellers would refuse when they realised they couldn't make a sale from it.

Getting permission to film is one of the hidden rules that makes The Apprentice harder than it looks.

I was thinking that. I wonder when they make a call to a place and say they will call in to buy an item, does someone from the BBC go there first to make sure they have permission to film.

Am I alone in being confused how NONE of that entire team knew what a closhe was?
I suspect at least one of the team probably did know, but tactically kept the information to themselves. In the early weeks, the PM is generally the fall guy when a teams fails, so the more Gavin floundered and made errors of judgement, the more ammunition to get him fired.

If we want a chief suspect then I note that Natasha has a degree in "Hospitality management". Hmmmm....
