Dd 5.1
I have been following various posts on the subject of DD5.1 broadcasts on Sky. It seems quite clear that to actually "capture" the digital audio signal requires a Sky+ digibox and pay the extra £300 for the privilege.
However, I have noticed that the Nokia digibox, supplied by ONDigital, does have a digital co-axial output socket provided. My question is therefore 2 fold. 1. Do ONdigital (ITV Digital, whoever) re-posses the equipment upon subscription cancellations? 2. Can I swap the Amstrad digibox, used for my Sky digital subscription, with the Nokia in order to utilise the DD 5.1 facility now available. I presume the answer to no.2 is "No", as I have not seen any posts that have suggested such a venture. But we live in hope. |

Unfortunately, the only way to get DD5.1 is to get the Skyplus. If a product is capable of producing Dolby Digital sound it will always have its logo on it.
