I've just got the Samsung Galaxy Apollo GT-I5800 and it does me fine except for one thing that I've noticed happening for a second time now. Last night it had approx. 75% battery life left when I switched the phone completely off however when I switched it back on this morning it was "telling" me to recharge it as the battery was too running very low.

What I don't understand is how can the battery drain when the phone is switched completely off?

Just did a quick search on Google to confirm what I think is a faulty battery but something else came up and that is a rogue app running while the phone is off.... apparently a phone is only truly off when you pull the battery out.

Do you use alarms/calendar reminders?

What apps have you downloaded that weren't there already?

How long have you had the phone?

Yes, sometimes

My partner downloaded the following:-

Amazon Kindle

FatBooth

Free Music Download

Ringdroid

RealCalc

I think that's all.

How long have you had the phone?
About 4 weeks.

Hope that helps. Also WiFi and Bluetooth is off only 3G is on to receive emails and SMS messages.

It's the only suspect software I can see.

Other than that try conditioning the battery... completely run it down, charge up full and repeat at least once more.

I have a Nokia Nuron. My battery mysteriously disappears too. I noticed that this occurs on days when I have used the camera and that if I switch the phone off and back on again, the battery drain does not occur. It would seem the camera application uses power after its been closed.
