Doesn't It Get On Your Nerves When Karen + Nick Seem To Chip In For The Sake Of It?..

Seriously, it has always irked me when first Nick and Margaret and then Karen, in the boardroom seem to chip in at times so to imo, qualify/justify their presence! Like on the first boardroom of this series when Nick said to Alex "Good place to hide", meaning in that trailer where Alex was cutting up bread and Nick wasn't even following them!

I often get the impression that Sugar is thinking when they chip in "who asked you to but in"? Or he is thinking "SHUT UUUUPPPP"!!!

Anyone else get these impressions?

Their interjections are usually welcome to me, both from Karen and Nick. Often, they can add something which was missed by the cameras.

And who can forget the wonderful Margaret's, 'Edinburgh's not what it was!'

BRING BACK MARGARET!!!!!

Margaret seemed to have it in for Maj/Majid that time and seemed to be whispering in AS's ear bigtime to try and get rid of him. I went off her after that.

It's kind of hard to retune your ears into Nick's whispery breathy voice uttering the odd line in-between listening to Lord Sugar's gravelly tone in the boardroom.

I think she was protecting her beloved James.

.........

Sounds like you know for sure?

Off the top of my head, AS looked at Margaret early on in the boardroom exasperated when Maj defended himself well on something and it looked like AS was saying by his look "well I can't get rid of him on that one, now what"? And Margaret was looking back as if to say "I don't know", but either in that boardroom or the next one, Maj did go, accused of being "a passenger".

That was the comment that put me off Margaret.

I do like the interjetions - I think Karen is more relaxed about it now, and they seem less forced than last year

Doesn't really bother me, thats why Lord Sug has them there isn't it, to be his "eyes and ears" when he's not around. I actually quite like it when a candidate says they did or didn't do something in a task and then Nick or Karen stop them in their tracks with an opposite opinion on those actions so that the said candiate can't get away with telling a porkie pie to the Lord. I just love it when a candidate has to back-track after Nick or Karen have stuck their noses in (but that is purely for my own viewing entertainment ).

I think Lord Sug probably appreciates it more than not, especially if he trusts the two of them which I suspect he does.

On the US version, Trump had a previous winner as one of his advisers for the episode. He told him off for butting in too much

I don't have a problem if they point out someone's coming out with porkies but its just the making a comment for the sake of it, to almost not be left out the niggles me.

Excellent! If that was me asked to come back I think I would have had something back to him! Would probably make the viewing figures rocket!

Nick's best intervention was " Like a tramp on chips " last year

Personally, I think it's great to see them chip in with little comments; otherwise what is the point of them being there?

BRING BACK MARGARET!!!!!
Yeah, somebody pop down to the UCL, bundle her in the back of a van and force her to do this show at gunpoint. Or we could watch Karen Brady do the same job, just as well.

I love it when they say things! I'd rather they actually spoke more.

Well she definitely had a soft spot for him. Her fondest moment of that series was something James-related, and I think her words probably helped save James in the boardroom a few times. Although I don't think Sugar needed much convincing, as he liked him too.

I think it is great when they say things. Breaks the programme up a bit and they just say what we are all thinking. Their facial expressions are brilliant.

Agree with denvertdino. Really enjoy when they add something. I wish they would say more!
