Edna - Am I the only one who doesn't think she's as bad as she's made out?
I don't get why Edna seems to be seen as such a bad bitchy candidate? She's outspoken but her manner to Susan when she said she didn't want an argument was nothing like some of the really bad candidates we've had (Ginger Jennifer, Katie Hopkins etc.) and I think the reason she is edited as the bad one is because this year is missing a baddie. Last year, they kind of tried to edit a few as the bitchy ones (Paloma, Laura, Joanna) but even Edna is tamer than those 3 IMO. If I were to compare her to anyone, I would say she's more in the vein of Jadine, Saira, Joanna possibly and she could maybe be told to tone it down like all those 3 were if she's ever in the final 3.

I think she's got the right amount of bitchiness at the moment... entertaining but not too over the top. To be honest the most bitchy comments I've seen this year have been from Zoe on this week's You're Fired... re Natasha 'she gets where dirt can't get' and 'her employment status is none'.
I think Edna is brilliant entertainment value... the gloves, the facial expression after saying 'I don't suffer fools gladly' - priceless. |

She's hilarious, great quality. Especially her presentation with THOSE gloves, "I'm talking about you, you and YOU!"

Edna is good TV, which is why she was picked for the show.

Still think the first moment she is in the boardroom she is gone |

Now that we are beginning to see the ugly side of other candidate's personalities, Edna doesn't seem as bad!

LMAO, the pitch was great comedy value but I do think that she may become a serious competitor, she seems quite level headed if a bit scary

She doesn't come across well. Aggressive and full of her own importance and belittling everyone else. SirAllun won't want someone like her for a business partner.
And when she was PM she was rubbish! Talked herself up only to fall flat on her face. |

And when she was PM she was rubbish! Talked herself up only to fall flat on her face. I've watched all three episodes so far, and have no idea how you've come to that conclusion about Edna. The only negativity is when she told Susan to be quiet. Also, when she was PM she won the task so how's that falling flat on her face? |

Yeah, def no where near as bad as Katie Hopkins (she was on a level all of her own). At least with Edna her face doesn't hide if she doesn't like another candidate, whereas Katie hid everything behind a false smile and eerie politeness (until the point she turned rude and let rip). I think Edna's ice-queen hard exterior (which is certainly not the worst quality of all of the worst ones) will be hard for some people to connect with and maybe thats where some/or most of the 'bad' opinion of her comes from? However, judging on her performance as PM, she wasn't all that good in honesty, though of course very amusing! I don't remember who Ginger Jennifer is at all?
Laura was whiney more than anything (I thought). She just moaned constantly because she wasn't getting to do the more important roles that would perhaps show her off and was huffing and puffing at the frustration of not being trusted with more task responsibility. Laura felt (and knew) no-one was listening to her, whereas with Edna, people don't talk over her (and dismiss her) like they did Laura. Thats why I think Edna doesn't like Susan a fat lot, because Susan wants to be heard over her whereas the other girls (even Melody- who didn't want to get involved in their spat because she prob knew she would lose any future confrontation with Edna) have (usually) been fairly quiet at the direct moment when Edna has been expressing her opinions. Certainly in that sense Edna commands more respect ...(or is it fear) than Laura ever did during her time and, if anything, came off more as a child rather than a tv villian (imho). Oh dear my memory is bad, who was Joanna? Agree on both points about Edna and Zoe, especially Zoe! I sense that if anyone is going to leave this show under the opinion of "bad" it will be Zoe rather than the likes of Susan, Melody or Edna. Jennifer is Jennifer of ''It's my birthday today'' fame from Series 4. Joanna is from last series, she started off quite agressive but then Sir Alan told her to tone it down and she generally did, she also got the ''with regret'' firing at the interview stage which was probably the most apologetic, nice firing I've ever seen on The Apprentice. |

I'm not sure about Edna, she seemed ok in her auditions tbh. It could all be down to the edits and she's not as arrogant as she comes across.

Jenny - She is the one who got fired on her birthday ![]() Joanna - JAMIE! JAMIE! JAMIE! Ring a bell ![]() And Jennifer, visually remember her... not so clearly on how she was on the show overall but this clip http://youtu.be/fSfigu7x3VE did help bring things back somewhat. I had to You Tube these names because even with your hints I still didn't remember either one! ![]() Edit- just been watching clips of Jennyrand now I'm clearly starting to remember her. Nearly as bad as Katie but not quite. |

Edna hasn't done anything too bad as yet - the gloved presentation reminded me of Ertha Kitt as Catwoman in the old Batman TV shows...
There is a bit of the Grace Jones about her, but is that a bad thing? |

Likely she won't win, but I can see her surviving a couple of boardrooms. She took good decisions as PM, so she has some ability as well as being good entertainment.

She looks like she'd mud wrestle her own grandmother to win a knobbly knees contest!

She is entertaining but I don't see her winning or getting near to the final.

![]() Who later excused her behaviour as being due to the fact that she was still recovering from the after effects meningitis at the time of filming, and had actually meant to say 'spoonfeed'. Bless! ![]() I liked how Edna handled Susan's ramblings, and couldn't help giggling when her face lit up after her presentation as she eagerly asked her teammates what they thought of it. Then when they told her, she somehow managed to make her face fall while keeping a fixed grin. |

I think if anyone is rude it's Zoe to be totally honest with you.
It's the impression I'm getting, but we shall see. |
