Ok then how was that done, i cant get my head around it, at all times you see 1 hand at 1 end of the curtain, and another at the other end, and the length neaning it impossible that 1 person could be holding it, also there was not enough time for 1 person to get out of the box, never mind them get out and the other get back in, was good though

Well if you thought it was good and enjoyed it why spoil it for yourself and others?

Magic is meant to be watched and enjoyed and you have done that.

And if you are interested in working it out yourself then OK, but what is the point in someone just telling you the answer or even just what they think and be wrong?

I expect someone will post saying what they think to show how wonderful they are at spoiling things for others. It's what kids do now.

I don't think I know how any magic tricks are done, I don't want to know though.

I figured it out pretty easily, but if you are puzzled by it, stay that way: it's more enjoyable than finding out how they did it. I guarantee you'll be disappointed once you find out...

For you that was why magic was invented. Someone who can enjoy it for what it is: Just a piece of theatre to entertain.

People can watch a film with special effects needed to tell the story and just enjoy it for what it is. They don't need to know the ins and outs of every frame to enjoy it. And it also means that it was a rubbish film if the only interesting thing about it was how they pulled off the spaceship landing.

PERSONALLY speaking, I enjoy knowing how tricks are done because we KNOW they are tricks, and not what they appear to be, so I am always more impressed by the 'trickery' behind the trick and how it's pulled off.

Having said that, I thought D and K were brill, and I liked how they came across as totally 'normal' and not showy at all.

So you are now disappointed after figuring it out? So why did you figure it out then? Seems counter to your enjoyment of the piece.

And why are you disappointed? You obviously know that it isn't real magic, so were you not interest that the idea use to pull it off was clever? Did you not enjoy the speed, skill and timing of the performers needed to achieve the effect?

Dissapointed? What did you expect?

My goodness, I was just trying to gently persuade the opening poster to keep the magic intact!

I thought they came across very well, not showy, I was pleased with the speed apart from the slight mistake with her hand at the end. I'm not saying I was disappointed at all (I wasn't and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do next) and I love magicians and illusionists. Part of the fun for me IS trying to figure it out (different strokes for different folks, and all that), but I'm not going to spoil it for people who don't want to know. My point is that if someone (like the opening poster) is puzzled by magic tricks, when they find out how 'down to earth' the answer is it's a bit of a let down.

Two guys did the same trick on last season of America's got talent. I think they were great too!

I think it's probably a fake hand. He whips it away with the cloth and she pushes her hand through at the same time.

Sorry to spoil it but they are wearing very good masks of each other. At the last minute they take their masks off.

If you want to know how it's done, have a look in the comments on one of the youtube videos of their performance.

Although It does kind of spoil the trick once you know.

We all want to believe magic tricks are more than they are, these illusions are so fast though and trick most people. I do like to find out how they are done - once you have seen the illusion, you may as well know the reveal.

Scroll down to the posting made on 12th May, video number 2 shows the act failing to keep it hidden

So funny! What a great person you are for spoiling it for everyone else.

Your the coolest!

I couldn't see all the fuss. It was pretty obvious how it was done.

And this was no more evident than how out of breath they were at the end.

I wouldn't have put them through.

I agree with esmecrowfoot.
The couple were refreshing and performed the trick very quickly.
It's all going to depend on what they do next time.

It may have been pretty obvious to you how it was done but doesn't mean it was to everyone else.

it certainly was not for me but i did notice a couple of things about it which gave me an idea of how it could have been done but overall it was very good

Blimey, Benny. You've been in a real grouchy mood in this thread! If people don't want to know they won't click the link. It's only natural to want to speculate on how an enjoyable trick was done. Perhaps you need a cuddle?

There is nothing to stop anyone speculating.

But posting it here (or anywhere) is just someone out trying to look big and spoiling it for others.

The thread is entitled 'David and Karen' so one would imagine it's a thread on what people thought about them, not people trying to boost their own egos but telling everyone how wonderfully clever they are and spoil it for others.

There is nothing wrong in anyone thinking to themselves about the workings of the act, just what people decide to do with that when they think they have worked it out.

Why do you imagine that magic is and wants to be kept secret? Do they waste their time trying to keep it secret for a laugh?

It really is all about silly kids wanting to make a name for themselves and spoil things for others and that is pathetic.
