Its in the mirror too. This will be true i am sure she will have just have had a new baby and ITT is a lot of work on top of her other things. Roll on the speculation as to her replacement

I can't imagine who they will get to replace her. None of the names being bandied about at the moment are filling me with excitement. Claudia brought a special "something" to ITT which will be hard to replace.

After all she cannot be tied to a studio neither can be the judges, other hosts or pros. They are easily dispensable and I wish Claudia well if she goes.

Whoever does it will have to find their own way of making it their own....you cant just slot in someone to be like Claudia, they will have to be given time to find their feet.

Please please please dont let it be Tess.

I suppose playing devils advocate here that there is a chance there will be no ITT at all.

Maybe Kara or Natasha will do it?

Jodie Prenger featured a few times in the last series of ITT so maybe she is in the running for Claudia's job.

Doesnt have to be female ofcourse...Kara has no experience as a presenter on a live show so I doubt she would do it....Natasha (apart from her stint as Tess in series 2) has shown no interest in Strictly since....I would be suprised it Chris Hollins or Gethin Jones were not considered aswell

Any other presenting change I could have taken on the chin, but this one - noooooooooooooooo!

Still, if it must be someone else, I'd rather have a proper fan with minimal presenting experience than a proper presenter who doesn't feel the love for the show. That's what Claudia's all about - she always makes you feel like she really loves every aspect of SCD. I can't see Gethin talking about the girls' dresses, can you?

So who does that leave us with - who are the major celebrity fanboys/girls who could do the job? I'd be well up for Pauline Quirke or someone like that

I can understand her reasons for leaving if it is true. A new baby is hard to juggle with a job and lots of other women would go on maternity leave so Claudia has every right to take a break. We don't know if it is a permanent break though.
I think Chris Hollins or Gethin would do a good job. I wonder if it could be Chris though. He has been doing more presenting recently, is used to live broadcast and he isn't moving to Salford with the news team. I think his personality would put the celebs and dancers at their ease too. Then again in the last series, I think Gethin said he was a standby presenter when he was in the studio for a chat so he could get the call too. Again Gethin would make a good presenter.

Ooh actually Lorelei Lee I get where you are coming from with men and the dresses - they could do with a female superfan presenter (but please not Marion Keyes; she drives me nuts)

I really hope it's not Chris Hollins. The BBC are currently trying him out on various programmes and I don't think he's really working well on any of them.

I think Gethin would be quite good actually but I'm wondering if a shakeup is called for? Given a few people thought ITT was a bit tired last series maybe this is the opportunity for a change.

I agree that if Claudia has implied that she wont be back then I think the show should have a new look...if Claudia will be back then they just need a caretaker.....for me it really doesnt matter if a male presenter couldnt talk dresses.........thats what the guests are for surely.

I personally think Gethin would be more than able to talk dresses...

I think he has had to learn to talk 'dress' Katherine has a fair few I would imagine He did get the 'frock' spot on the Friday Panel once and had to ask Noddy Holder what Chiffon was

That's sad news but I totally respect Claudia's decision. It would be too demanding of her, and unfair on the baby to be filming ITT every evening.

As for replacements, Miranda Hart would bring plenty of enthusiasm and humour. I like Sue Perkins too. I do think it's a girly role though, so I'd rule out a male presenter.

I don't think it should be an ex-contestant. That way they could be completely neutral. And i couldn't bear to hear Chris Hollins calling Mrs Jordan "Ola Chops" again.

Here's a thought. Barrowman? !!!

As I recall it he had to ask Claudia what 'fuscia' was as well

Anyway, I didn't see much of ITT last year but when I did I got the impression sometimes that Clauds was going through the motions and wasn't enjoying herself as much as in previous series, so I'm not that surprised she's calling it a day. As for her replacement, I'd be amazed if it turns out to be a guy and will never watch the show again if Marion Keyes gets the job cos she makes my teeth itch...

Bring back Justin Lee-Collins! His presentation was brilliant and I loved it when he did it! That dance he did with Paul Killick will live with me forever!

.......trots off to find it again on You-tube.....

Surely the sensible solution would be to move Alesha to ITT and promote Karen to judge

Not totally surprised at this news, when she first announced she was pregnant again the dates did look like it may be difficult. I totally understand & support her decision - family comes first.

Am not personally a big fan of Hollins. Gethin would be good but I'd like Gabby Logan or Zoe Ball. I would say Zoe is the more likely of those 2 to get it.

I doubt it'll be Chris Hollins, just don't think it would suit him.

The minute I heard Claudia was leaving , I thought Zoe Ball would get the job.

She is a former contestant who continued to make appearances on ITT after her series ended.
Also she used to present the Strictly Dance Fever spin off on BBC 3 so she is well known to the production team.

Gabby quit five live for family reasons - only two hours work a dayso I doubt she would feel happy about spending more time away from her family

No to Gabby

What about Lesley Garrett though

Nooooo. This just can't be true. She was the only reason I had stuck with Strictly after Alesha joined...

However I would watch if Marian Keyes took over...Never gonna happen in a million years, I know!
