Was just thinking about how we could tell the two doctors apart, would the ganger doctor have a sonic screwdriver? we've been told the flesh can clone clothes but screwdriver isn't clothes, is it?

From what I understand the organic (including fabrics & plastics) are copied but the inorganic (like jewellery or sonic screwdrivers) aren't

But a more important question - Is the Ganger Doctor a Timelord?

I suppose he could have. If the flesh can replicate something as complex as a human (or Time Lord) then I guess a sonic screwdriver is possible. It is DW afterall.

I don't think he will. But if he does, I hope it's made of marshmallow. Or Pillsbury dough.

Just nit-picking now, but the clothing on the Gangers had zip-fastenings (predominantly made with plastic and/or metal). So inorganic is possible.

Plastic is organic and you can get plastic zips

What about the metal eyeholes on The Doctor's boots?

Plastic - but does the intestinal flora get created as well plus whatever was in the gut being digested?

Fair enough - except the zips on the Ganger's costumes glinted like metal.

And for the coup de gras - the Doctor's watch was copied (and it's made of metal).
