Meanwhile, have you considered why the Doctor's claim to be 1103 is so important? I'll just say that it's part of the process when dealing with fish and chips....”

Misdirection?

It had occured to me, at the time (seeing as though he's liberal with the turth of his age at the best of times).

Nah - "fish and chips" is hugely important - one of the biggest clues in the entire series.

The whole idea was part of the eductation program that started when the Silurians and humans were preparing their thousand year plan for "first contact" between the species but - like so much else - the message was interrupted and became confused.

In 1969, a newly formed company called Intel developed the World's first computer memory chip. It was placed on sale in 1970 and the model number for that chip was - 1103. It was also the first 1k memory module - a clear reference to the 1,000 years planned for human/Silurian integration.

By an incredible "coincidence" - Engineering Research Associates (ERA) had created an early computer called the UNIVAC 1103 - the only time in history that a computer shared the same name as a memory module. The Univac1103 was designed and developed by Seymor Cray - after whom today's Supercomputers are named. Within weeks of being used for the first time, a major change was made to Univac1103 - to provide another clue to those of us watching carefully - the first hardware interrupt system - a warning that the original Silurian message had been interrupted. The name "Seymor Cray" was itself a clue - a suggestion to look to fish for answers - as I'll come to later.

Univac1103 was sponsored by the American intelligence services - the forerunner to the NSA - and was officially destined for use by the Joint Numerical Weather Prediction Project. The Doctor claimed to work for just such an organisation when he arrived at the Morpeth Jetson acid mining facility - another "coincidence".

That's your chips sorted - but what about the fish?

For that we have to look back to Venice and the last survivers of a dying, aquatic planet who managed to cross time and space using the crack as a conduit. In my first post, when describing the origins of those fish-people, I wrote that "Her home planet is Saturnine - at least that's how it sounded when pronounced.". The truth is that it was actually the ninth moon of Saturn - Saturn 9. Saturn 9 was the title given to the main booster stage of America's Saturn rockets - which was later developed to build the better known Saturn V rocket used for - the forst manned flight to the moon in Apollo 11. Not only that but NASA part number for the Saturn 9 stage was - A103.

For those accustomed to computing - as the devolpers of the 1103 memory chip and the Univac1103 computer obviously were, "A" is the hexidecimal value 10. In decimal - which we as humans use - multiplying by 10 is signified by adding a "1" to the next colum to the left of the number - so A103 become 1103. It is important to note that Silans have three fingers and a thumb. They would not use the decimal system that was evolved by humans and Silurians who both posses 10 digits. The obvious clue of mixing decimal and hexadecimal numbers in this way points to a hybrid - a breeding program mixing the two races.

It is also important to note that the first use of the Saturn 9 A103 project was to launch the Pegasus satellite - to detect meteoroids. As we know, Silurian warriors are extremely vulnerable to cold -due to their cold blooded biology - so they have an intense fear of a meteor striking the Earth and causing another ice age.

It is also worth noting that the Saturn 9 A103 rocket was one of the first major launches from the newly named Cape Kennedy Space Centre. Prior to 1963 - the year the Doctor first arrived on Earth - it was known as Cape Canaveral - originally just an airforce base.

The Doctor's repeated references to fish and chips - always used in the form of a question "Do you want fish and chips" is a test - to see if those dormant race-memories, implanted by him along with the Silurian scientists thousands of years ago - have been able to break through and overcome the mental blocks placed there by the Silans that are preventing us from seeing all of these clues and uncovering the truth.

How about starting a petition so you can help write future series? Or maybe a spin off with another ganger doctor in a home made tardis from a return trip to the junkyard planet it the doctors wife.
