Some times weeks at a time just laziness really as i cant be bothered waiting for it to boot up even though it boots quite quickly.

Might reboot the servers once a year.

Our 2003 server has now been running since August 15th 2003!

About 12 months.

thats been over 7 years.

If it wasn't for power outages, 3 systems would be left on 24/7. Alas, a stupidly sensitive electric supply defeats this. A further 3 systems remain in S3 Sleep mode when not in use.

As it stands though, my PowerMac G5 (used as a Server) has been up and running for 9 days. My record was about 4 months before I had to work on something and reboot it.

Yours wasn't much of a contribution either!

Our servers get a reboot either when they crash (which is rare) or once per year, which ever comes first. Usually during the summer when the kids aren't in school. My desktop in work gets shutdown at 5pm on an evening and wakes up again at 7.45am the next morning.

My personal computer at home gets turned off every time we aren't using it.

they are made to be left on anyway, I always thought.

Does this thread have a point? I thought lists or counting threads belonged in General Discussion.
