Title says it all. Surely I'm not the only one dying to see the pair get together? I love both characters individually and together they're even better.

I just watched last night's episode there and there was some sexual tension between them when Nikhil was leaning over Gennie so much they were practically having ear sex!

It does look pretty inevitable that they will get together - but hurry the f**k up Emmerdale! And PLEASE don't throw a barrel of misery over them as has been done with every other character recently. Gennie and Nikhil are both quirky so they add a bit of light heartedness to the show - lets keep it that way!

No, I don't want to see them together. He's better off with Chas. Nikhil is very uptight and serious all the time. If he starts a relationship with Gennie we'll see more of the same, at least Chas brings out the spontaneous and fun side of him.

Really? You're right in your analysis of how Chas has made him more spontaneous but he just seems out of character like that. I know they say opposites atract but I've never been one for that rule. I think Genhil would be adorable

I am not sure Nikhil 2.0 deserves Gennie to be honest

That said- I don't think anyone invested in Nikhil and Chas as a long term relationship as oppose to contrived plot device should rush out and buy a hat any time soon

I am sure 'Genhil' or 'Niknie' are the long term intention of the writers- it appears obvious that the actors know this- the body language is hardly accidental- Rik appears to have his arm around Sian in nearly every scene

Someone else suggested that maybe the intention was to show that Nikhil had feelings for Gennie but he just hasn't realised it yet

Either way- I am sure the writers will drag it out so long that everyone will have lost interest

They HAVE to get together! I'm sure they will, and I'm so pleased - they're both so sweet that they would make an adorable couple. Please let them have some happiness...

He doesn't deserve her I'm afraid. The way he's been like a dog with two tails because he's shagging Chas has put me right off him. Besides, she doesn't want her sister's sloppy seconds!

However, if they DO end up together no doubt I'll be ooo-ing and ahh-ing with everyone else

Nikhil does need a different storyline - not liking the way he is more confident now

They're both inherently uplifting characters so hopefully TPTB wont go down some depressing route with them! There's also a spoiler saying

I've never understood why Gennie is passed off as the 'ugly sister/duckling' because the actress is too good looking to pull that off. The only difference being that Lucy is more 'sexy' while Sian is more 'pretty/beautiful'.

Regardless, I agree that Nik is acting like a **** at the moment but hopefully his realisation of his love for Gennie will cause a turnaround back to his old personality and will lead him to some over romantic gesture to capture Gennie's heart (That sounds really soppy )

Nothing wrong with a bit of soppiness IMO! Would be a welcome relief from all the misery at the moment.

Nikhil 2.0 has undergone an unwelcome personality transplant- there was nothing wrong with the old sweet, shy but inherently decent Nikhil- he was a welcome change from the dishonest, wheeler- dealer lothario businessman plaging soaps at present


After the scene in the office- Nikhil must be blind if he doesn't realise she likes him- mind you characters always seem so oblivious in soaps- the actors have done a great job in terms of body language contradicting dialogue though


The village of Emmerdale appears to be suffering a curse of '100 hundred years of soiltude' proportions- nobody else should get pregnant at the moment- the child would be doomed



Sian is very pretty- I agree- I've said elsewhere but it's a bit hard for any of us to believe she is some 'ugly duckling'- she's lovely


She's Welsh- even speaks Welsh

Gennie had a thing for Paddy? I always thought she could do better than Bob aswell. And in fairness to her Nikhil wasn't unavailable when she developed feelings for him. She was just too shy to make a move (and still is) and then Katie and Chas, who have more confidence, got there first.

Loved and hated their scenes tonight but I only hated them cause Chas stuck her oar in and ruined Gennie's moment but it was nice of Nikhil to try and give Gennie recognition for picking out the watch ... cause it shows he secretly cares about her and wants to marry her and have lovely, quirky, black babies with nice teeth

Hate that they complicated unnecessarily by adding Chas into it, but it's a genuinely, genuinely sweet pairing.
