Nikhil's enthusiasm and Gennie's response in the pub, when Charity & Jai walked in "oh no- people, now we have to stop with the baby talk" (something like that) just made me laugh. I love seeing Nikhil like this and having a folder

Gennie was very sweet to Jai back home, but I wished that it was Nikhil that felt the baby turning.

Loved having Genhil back!

Loved tonight's scenes; only Nikhil would have a baby file which include's a buggy comparison list. No doubt once he's finished with that one he will start with a wedding file.

I don't see why Nikhil had to apologise to Jai for being excited about becoming a father after all Jai said he's happy with his situation and although I agree it would have been nice for the scene to have shown Nikhil feeling the baby turn rather than Jai, Nikhil was touching Gennie's bump in the pub earlier.

Also I don't know if anyone saw Sian & Rik's recent tweets but apparently they did an amazing photoshoot yesterday although they didn't mention when/where we will see the photos. No doubt we will find out shortly.

Finally found the episodes where Gennie meets Shadrac her biological father for the first time, Also some more info on her birth mother, Some quite touching scenes and worth seeing,
If anyones interested do a search on youtube or google for Beaky Bun. Only three clips and one features Gennie singing!

I also loved the scene with the bright orange running suit. Cannot wait to see Gennie and Nikhil with a baby in a few months' time!! So cute

Told you that scene was dead cute, pity we only had just a few seconds of Genhil singing together but unfortunately he did go breaking her heart

Shame they don't work in the odd scene of Gennie singing now and again, I her early days 2008 there were quite a few scenes of Gennie singing but i think the karaoke scene was the last time she sang in the show, Pity really cos as those of you who have seen Sian singing on youtube will know she really has a great voice.

Emmerdale's production team are building a new Woolpack set for the soap's upcoming live episode, it has been revealed.

The ITV1 drama has a live special lined up for its 40th anniversary in October, which will be shot entirely on-location at the programme's village base.

So it does look like Gennie will give birth on the live episode. But who are the two weddings? One is probably Debbie and Cameron but I don't know the other... Gennie did say she wanted it to be a long engagement so I don't think it'll be them.

but she didn't listen to him about Cain (who has put him in a bin) so she certainly won't listen about David

Hope this won't interfere with the Nikhil David friendship but it's hard to see how it won't

I can understand Gennie being frustrated at their current living arrangements but SB didn't say where they would be living at the time of the baby's birth - what he said was:

"Georgia will be at the birth of Nikhil and Gennie's baby - obviously she'll be straight there! I think Gennie will be delighted to know that she's decided to move in for a little while!"

So there is the possibilty that they will move into a place of their own as Nikhil said he wants to be fully involved with the baby and if Gennie doesn't want to carry on living at Holdgate then he will have to move out to be with them.

It seems to be yet another case of Nikhil taking his eye off the ball. He seems to be focusing on David and Priya and as we know he's incredibly tunnel visioned.

As crazy as Georgia is likely to be about her Grandchild and as committed to interferring as she will doubtless be, I have a feeling that Nikhil and Gennie will be in their own place when she suggests staying, as I can't see her wanting to be at Holdgate with Rishi. I'm not sure they'll have resolved their differences by then and by that stage space in that house, really would be at a premium. I also can't see Charity being thrilled to have Georgia there either.

Georgia wouldn't set foot back in Holdgate given that Rishi is staying there! It's been pointed out several times on this thread that it never really made sense for Gennie to move into Holdgate as it's become more crowded than the Dingle homestead.

They have portrayed Gennie as being perfectly happy living in the Sharma household though so I fear the issue may just suddenly appear out of nowhere! Nikhil reverting to his old ways doesn't fill me with confidence either, I thought his encounter with bread had cured him as he's been on his best behaviour since then!

I bet they move back into Gennie's old house and there's been a bit of a redesign and the stairs have magically moved like they did in Debbie's house.

Yep, it seems the carbs have well and truly worn off and once again we're back to the same old, same old. Nikhil remaining a single-minded, self-absorbed, obsessive with the sensitivity of a brick and the memory of a Goldfish.
