Same here Katheh. They sang "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" if I remember correctly. Foreshadowing much? Its hard to believe that was at New Years. Nine months later and we're only starting to get really into it.


These look very promising, and the DS spoilers for this week make it sound all the more better. I'm glad that Nicky and Gennie are happening even though I do want Gennie and the old Nikhil together in the end. I hope though that Gennie doesn't just ignore Nicky for Nikhil should Nikhil confess his feelings, the man has some grovelling to do.

You mention Gennie ignoring Nicky for Nikhil but what do you think will happen if Nicky twigs that Nikhil likes Gennie too? Is he likely to back off a la Chas to let his 'mate' get the girl? (I've just realised that Nikhil will now be going through exactly the same thing Gennie was with him and Chas!). I'm not sure myself as we don't really know that much about Nicky. I sense he won't give up too easily.....

Charity does seem to have become David's replacement since he's off on his "honeymoon." I'm hoping we get some good David/Nikhil scenes when he returns though, I love them!! Just what would David say?! :P

The idea that Nikhil would confide in Charity is frankly bizarre- I know David is on holiday but Nikhil has no one else to confide in??

Also agree Nicky won't simply stand aside- why would he?

But that just about sums up Nikhil no-mates.

With David away on his honeymoon and Jai away at his parents, Nikhil & Charity are rattling around at Holdgate on thier own. It wouldn't surprise me if Charity has already guessed and that's why he "confides" in her.


Well given that Nicky's new to the village and him & Nikhill are hardly bosom buddies (unless that's all happened off-screen) - I see no reason for him to stand aside for Nikhil.
I suspect it will ultimately be Gennie who calls time on things with Nicky.

Good point- although he'd still be better confiding in Charity than Jai- if Charity is genuinely looking out for him and not laughing at him then it could be a good development- especially with their parents soon to arrive

I also agree Gennie is more likely to end things with Nicky- although he might walk away if he realises she's really in love with Nikhil

Some good scenes coming up

Nikhil and Nicky aren't really mates though. All we know is that they go on a run together later this week and I think that's it really. I'd be surprised if Nicky stepped aside.

I may be on my own but I'd like to see things get a bit heated between Nikhil and Nicky as they compete for Gennie's heart.

Nicky won my heart with his suggestion of beverage for Nikhil.

Gennie is good with Nicky. He is exactly what Gennie needs. I hope that he fights Nikhil for Gennie to the death. I want Nikhil on his knees crawling for Gennie's forgiveness.

Charity must be desperate to act so nice to Nikhil.

" How do you know you're not my type?"

When Nicky said this to Gennie the look on Nikhils face was priceless. For the first proper time you could see it was dawning on Nikhil that Gennie was no longer at his beck and call.
Rik is such an under- rated actor. The change in his expression from when he was trying to big himself up and was talking competitively with Nicky about the exercising to the moment you could see his vulnerability and that it was all just fake bravado was very subtle. You can clearly see that Nikhil uses his exercise/ running as a shield so that he doesn't expose how lacking in confidence he is.

One scene?! That's all we got??!

Can Nikhil be in his running gear when he's crawling on his knees begging for forgiveness? That would just add a little something to the scene :P

I am sooo looking forward to this story unfolding. Should be really good and with the eyecandy that is Nikhill and Nicky what can go wrong

Bringing the new vet Nicky into the storyline has really lifted things now - its about the only storyline that I'm genuinely enjoying right now.

Did anyone else think Nikhil 'needed' Gennie to stay behind and 'help' him because he didn't want her going for a drink with Jimmy He even tried to insist that he would buy her a drink instead of Jimmy

This Nicky situation really has Nikhil rattled don't think he appreciated Jimmy's Carpe Diem advice! Even funnier was when he jumped up to go over to Nicky instead of Gennie
