Isn't that just a plastic bag?, it's not a cover, you're supposed to throw the bag away.

I had no idea people used covers for their remote controls.

But I did spend some time yesterday chuckling over a friend's Bettterware catalogue, that proposed "organising" your remote controls by stuffing them into a fake sheep straddling the arm of your chair.

when theres 3 kids in the house u need stuff like remote covers. Seriously though why is it on dspy every thread 98% of answers are people criticising and moaning and only 2% are actually constructive helpful answers? Becoming more and more of a meeting point for bitter, lonely and insecure people who just moan and criticise everything.

Well you claimed your TV remote came with a 'cover', and I don't believe any sets ever have? - they just come in a plastic bag you're supposed to throw away.

The heatshrink covers you posted the link to looked reasonably interesting though.

I wasn't criticising. I can see the usefulness. I just hadn't see them before, and I've never seen them supplied with any item I've bought, so it does seem you've just been using the packaging!

It sounds like a reasonable idea to me. In fact I have used the bagsealers to make waterproof covers for use with kit like remotes for camping. You can use these to make larger bags just the right size and if you have the type with a roll you can make virtually any size you want.

Is there not a risk of the sealing process depressing one or more of the buttons?

Never happened to me, it's only a liitle fan that pulls the air out, hardly any suction. You can leave a bit of air in there anyway to make a bit of a cushion against knocks if you wish.

I want one now. I could use it to do sous-vide cooking when I'm not busy encasing all my remotes!
