Good point. Zainab's one is interesting too - very - so her parents are dead and gone, (sorry that sounds rather harsh, didn't mean it to sound brutal). Interesting that they mention about Masood's gambling in the early days of their marriage and of her needing to ask her father to help - but if he was in Pakistan, don't see how it would have helped with getting Masood a job, obviously this couldn't have been the post office back then? So they inherited a business, this first one must be long gone? Interesting..............

I am presuming they have put some thought into all this and not just written it off the bat.

Congrats on OP Katrina, that split was unexpected!

Popped on for a quick visit, and am surrounded by craziness.....

There's a house on alarmingly fire nearby (not too close thankfully), and all seems controlled thankfully but there are now at least 4 fire engines, police and ambulance cars, ladders etc......so it's all happening.

Then on the grass nearby a young couple are walking a pet lizard/dragon (about half m long) on a harness in the sun...

And now post strangeness splits are going on.....

All confuzzling .....please tell me i'm not going to wake up and the Chryed proposal is all a dream!

Can't really stop, r/l is claiming me tonight, phew, Wednesday! Hope you are all well.

I'm sure it was mentioned he got kicked out at 17 after coming down on his mother's 40th birthday dressed in her clothes! So that does sound a bit off to me. I can totally buy into Christian doing well in exams, but I always sort of had a head canon that he hadn't- not because he was thick, he's definitely not, but because he couldn't be bothered and had 'better' things to do.

A lot of that sounds more like Syed than Christian! "Golden boy", especially. I can't imagine that Christian was ever anything of the sort.

Ooooh I can - I imagined him being sort of spoiled and adored a bit by his Mum, naturally gifted and athletic so he grew up being pretty secure and strongminded.......then, when he came out, that natural confidence came through and he went his own way.

Yep I agree. Syed was the 'golden boy' - do hope they've not muddled things up but it does sound like it.

And the 17 years old thing is correct - I remember the episode distinctly - I imagined him being clever but being a drop out as a result of all this and just going off on his own.

Oh well.....

I wouldn't expect anything less. Can you imagine a teenage Christian sitting down and solemnly confessing to his sexuality? Or any Christian, really. It might not have been the cleverest thing to do ever, but it makes me love him even more.

OT post: hahaha it's my sister's last week of school this week, she's in upper sixth so leaves for her alevels after this week and her whole year are doing dress up week with a different theme each day.
And today they did a flashmob on the lawn, with all the year belows there and there's a video on fb and you can see all the upper sixth gather, then they all start dancing to Soulja Boy and then all disappear again with all the year belows cheering (although a lot were embarrassed because it's such a bad song )

How did I miss the first bit when I watched the whole thing?

I imagine him being a bit like my cousin- he was constantly in trouble, but he was just so funny and charming that they liked him, even though he was always causing trouble. He actually ended up winning some award or another at the end of his time at school, despite being excluded about a million times, because the teachers liked him so much.
