Imagine, you've been selected out of thousands of applicants to appear on this show. You know what its all about, you know its about hard graft and showing Lord Sugar what you can do.

Now just think how long it is, to sit in a room for 3 hours when you have a camera crew with you. What are you doing? Leafing through magazines? Its not like she even had the internet to browse, so think how painfully long 3 hours is to sit there, the camera crew bored as hell waiting for you to do something.

At the end of the day it was her section, she should have been proactive in saying ... 'Hey nothing is happening here, whats going on?'

It also smacked of her deliberately sabotaging the project, is that who you want to go into business with?

I think she signed her own death warrant there and then, and LS isn't going to forget it.

I do like Ellie's plain talking but I agree that she should have gone out there to guide passers-by upstairs for the beauty treatments. She came across as a bit sulky.
However, Felicity shouted everyone down so much at the intial meeting that I think the team felt demoralised to work under her. Their opinions were not wanted.
Ellie and Tom seemed to give up on doing the task. It wasn't the way they would have conducted it had they been PM.

So if they go 50/50 in partnership with SurAlan ...... sorry M'lud Alan and he says that he wants the company to take a certain direction and Ellie doesnt like it, will she just sulk in the corner while the company goes to pot?

Thats what I'd be thinking if I was LordAlan ..... Part of the purposes of the tasks is to put candidates in deliberately uncomfortable positions to see if they rise to the challenge or can't handle anything remotely out of their comfort zone.

Trust me Ellies card was marked with that performance.

I agree with you on this. She has not done herself any favours with her my way or no way attitude. She won't last long.
But I still kind of like the way she calls a spade a spade.

Felicity got approval and moved on - which was OK but she always seeked "approval" ahich as a leader you shouldn't always do.

Remember, these same idiots praised Felicity for being a "great PM" in front of Lord Sugar. Now, OK Felicity is a nice girl but how you approach it was like Tom "She was good a people skills...." but he needed to say "but lacked leadership skills". Natasha should have piped in with "she never had a sales strategy" there and then.

To me, ths shows thats NONE of team Logic have any balls at all and if Sugar could bring in late applicaants like Big Brother, i'd have fired all of the team there and then and replaced them.

Felicity actually could have learnt from this and become a good apprentice but as a business partner, no chance. But I would rather have her around then idiots like Ellie, Natasha and Vincent.

Again you wonder if Ellie had watched previous series. Time and again Lordsuga reams candidates out for just sitting back and just doing what they are told.
This series more than ever they need to be pro-active. I agree with Mrs Spoon that she should have been canvassing passers by on the 3rd floor - but then again there may have been a rule against that e.g. they may not have had permission to film in that area or the 3rd floor camera crew may not have been set up to follow someone about.

What I dont get is why did they need people to wait in an empty room for trade. Why couldnt they have even been canvassing downstairs and then as soon as they or someone else got someone, they could have abandoned the canvassing and delivered the service, at the same time escorting them upstairs.

Totally logical solution. Back me up here fellow DS'ers.

Could of worked if the team were escorting customers upstairs but they weren't. I didn't see any walkie talkies I don't think its fair to expect Ellie to attract critism from the team by not being there. Ellie was deliberately sidelined and Felicity didn't have a good reason and was a poor PM. The right choice was made.

She did what she was told by a poor PM, I dont think it was a brilliant move, but it doesnt alter the fact that Felicity was dreadfully poor and was right to go. i will be interested to see how Ellie does as PM

Wasn't theirs the team that had bookings in the diary for treatments but people didn't turn up fo them?

If that was the case, then it would be more unprofessional to go downstairs to find whats going on leaving nobody there for the customers should they turn up?

Admittedly 3 hours is a bit long, but i do think Felicity was the right choice to be fired after focusing on the selling, overspending on the products and just not leading.

That's probably a TV programme thing. They always split in to two teams with a camera crew on each. It's almost unquestionably in the rules that they have to be in two teams, even if that means one of the teams sitting around picking their bums for a couple of hours.

I agree to an extent but then the room seemed to be a long way from the stand and so presumably one member of the team had to stay in the room in case someone who had been booked in for a treatment or a passer by wandered in. If there had been no one in the room for 3 hours she or the team would have been critised for losing business by abandoning the treatment room. I don't know why Ellie didn't push this point in the boardroom.

She could have argued it would have been unprofessioinal to leave the treatment room unattended. If she'd come down to help and been roaming the floor drumming up businesss then if another team member had bought someone up for a massage there would have been no one there to do it!

Ellie probably could have come down sooner, but I think Felicity was useless and deserved to be fired. I also think she seemed to have a personal problem with Ellie and seemed to "have it in for her".

The problem with these people that "calls a spade a spade" is they can dish it out but not take it. It's the same with people that say I'm entitled to my opinion. Correct and so is everyone else. But when they tell you their opinion you don't like it.They get upset, they cry, they get defensive, they get aggressive. That's why I never take these people seriously.

But every time Ellie came down Felicity sent her back as she wasn't a "good sales person" In the end there was only Ellie left up in the treatment rooms. Ellie did bring up the lack of customers on a number of occasions but Felicity did nothing about it.

She's not (in her own words) a good salesperson, she's not a 'girly girl', so she can't do enthusiasm, but she talks the talk in the boardroom. Why wasn't she more persuasive with Felicity when it counted?

I thought Ellie was a dark horse, but there's nothing much substantial there by the looks of it. Very disappointing.

And how weak to say that she only said Felicity was a good leader in order to be nice (read: not wanting Felicity to take her back to the boardroom).

I felt Natasha should have gone... Alex got fired for the reason "not doing anything but speaking up in the boardroom", and Natasha has done the very same for the past four weeks.

None of them did anything to drum up trade even after the first Ellie phone call. The whole team upstairs did less than even Ellie to alert people to the problem. Tom was sent down to make sure the point was understood. He did nothing. The PM had no idea that her team were sending no one upstairs and had no mechanism to reguster this or escort them there. When she had been told she still did nothing. Ellie can't go on that.

Her card is marked though because he won't want anyone who did mothing whilst he was losing money.

The problem is someone has to win and Susan lost significant ground on her CV, strategy and selling ability, Melody lost some credibility , Natasha lost ground in the boardroom, and may have been marked up as doing nothing, Vincent got another fail against huis record and offered up the blindingly obvious as argument in the boardroom. Tom lost as much as he gained from getting the strategy right for failing to execute. The only one to gain was Zoe who got a win and who showed sense in rejecting enough of Susan's advice.

Yes she did great as a project manager. Would you want to work with someone that immature? I wouldnt.

True thats her negative - but overall she moved up from where she was last week in the bottom 3 and seen as doing nothing much? Don't think Lord Sugar said much about that either did he? It may not have registered and he supported her argument when he had a go at Susan so he agrees with the comments .

I'm with Karen. I'm very distrustful of Natasha and on the basis that she's done sod all of significance yet (apart from making a prat of herself during the buying task), I'd have let her go.

Ellie's alright. She, Melody and Tom did let the others know how quiet the treatment room was an hour after opening. Then she got stuck in when customers did finally arrive later in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I think she's got a naturally whiney sounding voice which doesn't help, but she doesn't strike me as a serial moaner or someone who is trying to be difficult all the time. I find her quite grounded and straightforward.

exactly, which I think Sugar should have pointed out in stronger terms then he did. Felicity was indecisive but so were the sheep following her.

Remember the part where Zoe told Susan that she got double the amount of bottles based on what Susan had told her (that they would be able to sell).

If anything, Zoe looks bad coming out of this task as she made the same mistake as Felicity on the other team (listening to your team mates expertise on something, instead of using your own common sense).

Personally, I would only rate Edward and Gavin as worse PM's then Zoe.
