x-men #1

Hopefully one of you guys can help me out, I've got this comic which purports to be X-Men #1 when it clearly isn't (as it was made in the 90s). I'm assuming this is #1 of a different story arc or something, but it just says X-Men on the cover. Anyone got any ideas??

The Uncanny X-Men is the regular run, starting in the 60s. This was a team spilt from the 90s featuring the blue team? (can't remember) and should still be going strong- though I haven't bought it in years.

This is one of several variant covers that made a panorama at launch.

So the two main comics from the 90s onward were Uncanny and plain old X-men. One team lead by Cyclops and one by Storm. If anyone can find an error in my memory, feel free to add.

No, your spot on. The series later became X-men legacy so they could launch another adjective-less x-men comic.

Also worth noting they printed 8 million copies of that X Men 1, so it's never going to be worth anything.

With different covers... Think it was a giant wraparound to encourage people to buy more than one issue...

Ahh, the days when Jim lee, Scott Williams and Chris Claremont were a force to be reckoned with.

Apart from Wolverine (and the absent Jubilee), all the X-Men seen in the 90s cartoon have the same uniforms as on that cover. Shows how faithful to the source that was.
